Breeding at T7 and T8 is too much.@Devs
simple run down of the story: T7 and T8 horse and ox eat way too much to raise them. lets make a change please.


I have an issue with calfs and foals at the higher ranks. Why does it cost me 30+ islands to feed 9 t8 calfs or foals? This makes no sense as they are basic mounts. I dont think 400 food is really needed for such a basic mount to feed. I feel like the devs got lazy and just said "♥♥♥♥ it throw them under rare mounts" so they eat like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mammoth. Why?!?! This makes no sense at all. The game has no progress on mounts after you can ride the t5 horse. you wont buy anything higher cause the prices are stupid. 1.2mil for a t8 horse???? are you serious? it isnt any better then the other armored horses. maybe a little more armor and hp but thats it. The ox.... for a small extra fee of 1.4mil you can add 1k weight and turn your ox white!!! Wow what an offer!? I want to see higher ranked players ride these to show that they have experience not silver. I dont mind rare mounts eating all my islands worth of food that isnt an issue so mammoths, direboars/bears, swamp dragons are fine. but foals and calfs? really? Can we get this to devs so they can change it? Farmers made this kinda complaint back in beta and devs kinda brushed it under the rug. Now i see already "but its an risk free way of making silver why make it cheaper cause you cant afford it" not my point at all. I just want everyone else to afford it. I rather see a bunch of t8 warhorses ride into combat then a bunch of t5 armored horses. I just feel when you hit t5 thats it. nothing after that matters. capes are useless higher rank so 4.1 is all you need, mounts you might ride a t6 ox but thats it. direwolf thats it. Nothing after that matters cause you cant afford to keep buying it every time you die. Just reduce the food cost for t7/8 foals and calfs. They arent special its just a basic mount.

I think farming in general needs to be reworked, it's just like a daily quest as it is now, poorly thought out feature
I dont think the lower tiers are too bad compared to the higher tier. But i dont have too much of an issue with it cause well not much more you can do to it. What are some ideas you had maybe we can get them heard.

Well, first of all, reduce crop farm time to 12 hours, MAX, and make low level crops like carrots only take a few hours to grow, this is so we can finish crop harvests within a server cycle. Secondly, remove the focus costs from watering, make watering free but optionally needed more frequently for greater reward, change the optional focus cost to happen on initial planting only for the same purpose it has now. Add things like composting bins and fertilizers. Make food quality matter when feeding animals, give bonuses based on food quality or type or preferred food of the animal.

I hate how this skill is just like a daily quest, every day at 5pm I harvest my crops and feed my animals carrots, it doesn't feel like a skill in it's state that it is right now. Farming is so poorly implemented, like it was just an after-thought of the devs wondering "how can we make islands useful?". Farming is like the only useful feature of player islands and it has so little usability it's ludicrous. Waiting for days of real life time is stupid, especially on mounts, I think it's 3 or 4 days to grow a t5 ox that is worth basically nothing, it's not worth the days time and food and investment that it takes to grow. The skill is pretty flawed, there's no reason to not just grow carrots in all your farm slots, a max stack of carrots is worth nearly half a mil or something, it's just stupid a tier 1 crop is even viable.

You do have good points but i dont know on the focus cost to plant the crop as i do see the bonus of increase the chance of offspring or seeds. But i do feel the fertilizer should be the one to speed up the time spending additional focus of a small fee of course maybe 300 focus (this will go down as you spec into it more) to reduce timers for crops to 12hrs would be even better. Maybe if they wanted to push it make it cost more focus for the fertilizer and add in potential enchanted crops. It does feel like a dull cycle. Makes me feel like a zombie doing it daily for very little reward. Only worse on those with 30+ islands taking an 1hr of their spare time to do farming. I am sure most dont even enjoy it.
I've been away for a good while, are T5 resources still a pain in the rear end to gather? I was working on a guild island before I took a break. (been gone for over a month)

i'm a new player and i'm leveling gathering in a free time. when i'm gathering on my t6-7 stone alt i gain about a stack of t5 stone in ~2-3hr (could've been more\faster if i was solo on a map). and another stack from filled books.
i assume it'll improve drastically when i'll reach t8 and will level up spec more. but since it's about 1kk+ silver in profits - i'm ok with it for now
