Am I the only one who hates the crafting minigames?
Hi Guys,
love the game so far, but the minigames really don't do it for me. I'm not a big fan of QTE stuff in general, but these really take the cake.

Here's what I dislike about it specifically:

- The time limit with the constant threat of losing your prescious ingredients

- The chained number of minigames that you need to win to successfully craft some items is h

- It is sometimes unclear what to do (The mixer that turns and you have to press the button when it hits the middle. Did anyone succed first try at this without losing the ingredients?)

- It is sometimes not clear if you're making progress (Shred herbs the motar, I seriously had to button-mash 2 minutes for 1 medicine and didn't even know if I was even doing the right thing)

- Some minigames take waaaaay to long (Mortar, chopper)

- Some minigames require ridiculous precision or timing

I can't make any sense why a relaxed game like this would need such a frustrating and stressful game mechanic. I'd appreciate if there was an option to skip or drastically simplify the minigames as they're basically required for progressing in the game.

Cheers and happy holidays

I think the game could have a cooking/smithing/medicine skill, that when it levels up it let's you craft multiple of the sime thing by putting more resources in...like put 2x the ressources and craft the object twice...you will still need to do the minigame and all of the results will have the same level...

it becomes a chore when u need to make a bunch of stuff. makes days longer than it needs to. maybe having time pass while cooking could help

confused and sometime its too fast for me to react.

the cooking/cutting mini game is the worst,
the cutting knife is bugged or require 100% perfect press.

is there a mod or a cheat to turn them off?

I don't dislike the cooking/crafting mini games but do think that as you become more proficient in the skills, they should become either much easier to do or automated. That way giving you the feeling of become a professional. Also I read on the 1st page some older gamers cannot keep up with the speed needed for them.

I love them personally. Reminds me of a game called Fantasy Life on 3DS, which was very much like Kynseed & made me purchase this in the first place. You had crafting mini-games like this. It's awesome. I do agree that at some point we should be able to produce in batches.
However, I absolutely understand why it's annoying for a lot of you. A toggle would be nice, especially as an accessibility option.

Hope the devs can consider something like that, even though I'm sure coding and designing those systems was a lot of effort. Options for accessibility are great tho!

I have gotten used to blacksmith and cooking and baking. But Baking one feels little weird to me. Trying to get angels to work for pie is sometimes a pain.

I learned theres some kind of methods to it. Chopping the ingredients you want to mash it left and right. make sure you keep going back and forth. Morter and pestle you want to smash down and grind around. Really didn't take that long. The bellows took me an hour to learn. I wasn't watching the full animation, but you need to pump the bellows to the ground then repeat to get it fast.

I adore them, makes crafting actually engaging which is very important since thats a bulk of the game. For those saying it doesnt tell you what to do, you can click help on every step and it gives a detailed explanation on how each step is performed. They do a good job explaining things you just have to actually click the button and take time to look.

but for me they are the main reason I'm loving the game. I like a certain element of skill in crafting cause it make the 5 star crafts feel good and rewarding, I do agree there needs to be a bulk craft option outside of simply the double yield things from the masters, or maybe make the masters buff give 4 of the item perhaps. I'm sure theres a way to make it slightly easier to bulk craft while keeping the feel.

That is my only complain about the minigames so far, you get better the more you do and you many items you can easily do 4-stars with 2-stars ingredients after you learn the minigame, losing resources because you don't know how to play the minigame is not a big deal either because you should always craft a test recipe with a lower star ingredient and when you understand what you are doing try for a 4 or 5 star, I made some weapons and food 5 stars already, the apothecary is something that I didn't get that far yet, but still my only complain is the lack of mass craft, after 100 times doing the same minigame things get old.

That said, the cooking minigame is maybe the best one because you have different things to do depending on the recipe, the blacksmith with the mold thing was a little of a let down though.

So far there is something like that with the Master of cooking. For jam and stews I believe.

I've never really cared for mini-games, but I absolutely love them in Kynseed. I can see how tedious it might become if crafting in bulk. Some accessibility options or toggling for mini-games would be nice.

I've struggled with all of them, whether understanding what to do, which keys/buttons do what, or just plain timing skill. But none of that is a negative to me. The one thing I enjoy about Kynseed is that everything seems geared to make you feel like you are learning, growing, and evolving your character over time. It lends itself to a sense of progression.

All of the mini-games have gotten easier with time and none feel as frantic or overwhelming as they did at the start.

I enjoy the mini-games but they can be a hassel when you got to make multiple items in order to keep your shop fully stock. They needs to add an system where you can craft multiples of the same items, but have trade off system like unable to get highest quaility goods.

They do, you literally just hit F1 on each step and it gives a detailed explanation. Can access it per preparation step and it tells you about that specific step.

From one Willow to another... they sorta give some instructions. But go make jam and tell me if the instructions tell you to increase the heat with the little button under the pot.
