Marstruck Charging Port
Since the last big patch I have had constant issues trying to unplug a charging cable from the Marstruck. Can't seem to find a hit box for it at all. I've spent about 10 minutes trying to get it to be the focus, changing positions, crouching, jumping, doing it all with the back door open so that hit box isn't in the way, etc.

The only way I can get the dang thing to unplug now is to either grind down the power source it is charging from so the cable drops to the ground as a bundle I can pick up, or jump in the truck and drive away which means I also have to deal with the jarring from pulling the cable taut and basically ripping it out of the socket.

While I haven't tested this much yet, it feels like I can replicate this problem 100% of the time if I bring the cable from something else and plug it in instead of deploying a fresh cable directly from the power source. For example if I am out and about and have a panel charging my Survival Pod, then move it to the Marstruck...I can't unplug it from the Marstruck because I can't get a hit box on the cable. This also holds true if I plug the Marstruck in first, then move the cable to the Survival Pod, then move it back to the Marstruck...suddenly I can no longer unplug the Marstruck again.

Edit: Even if I unplug the cord from the power source I still can't get a hit box on the end plugged into the Marstruck which means the only way to recover the cable is to jump in the truck, dive it a bit, jump out and pick up the cable that has finally dropped on the ground (not as a bundle of cable but stretched from the truck start point to where you unplugged it from the power source), and hop in the truck again. It doesn't sound like much, but when you have to do this nearly every dang time you charge the truck it gets tedious fast.

Edit 2: Additionally, you seem to lose the hit box on the end of the cord you plugged into the Marstruck permanently when you drive off with the cord still plugged in. At my base I usually keep a cord plugged into my transformer and then plug it into whichever vehicle needs charging as I use them. I drove off in the Marstruck which force unplugged the cable, and when I came back I was not able to pick up the detached end of the cable at all. I then unplugged the end of the cable in the transformer and plugged it into the Marstruck, but was still unable to pick up the end of the cable on the ground that was formerly plugged into the Marstruck. On top of that, I lost the hitbox on the cable end plugged into the Marstruck...so I had to drive off again to get the cable unplugged...and now have a cable on the ground that is not able to be targeted anywhere to pick up at all. Saving/reloading/relaunching doesn't fix it which apparently means the Marstruck now eats cables in addition to requiring power.

I realize usage of the Marstruck may not be that high compared to the Heavy Rover and that a work around (something that in real live would result in thousands of dollars of damage to the vehicle and power source) is possible, but please put this on the list to fix as it is super annoying for anyone who does like to use the Marstruck a lot.

All I've been doing is control-click on the plug at the source, then re-lay the cable when required. No loss of cable.
I usually disconnect it from the source and pick it up as well since I can't take it out of the Marstruck (which is still not as intended). What I wanted to make sure they knew is you can totally kill a cable by making both ends inaccessible via the Marstruck. Most definitely a bug.

Another Marstruck bug I have yet to report is that when you try and assemble a meteor rocket kit too close to the truck, the components (rocket fuel in my case) disappear and you hear the sound of the Marstruck being loaded like you put a rock into it. Ironically you can still fully put the rocket kit together even though the parts aren't visible and walk off with the missiles, but the next time I loaded up that game save I had a pile of 10 missiles (the usual output of 1 rocket assembly kit) and all of them were unusable because they were missing the two rocket fuel that the Marstruck ate earlier.

Here's the missile pile after loading up the save again later (the missile issue happened yesterday, Jan 10th). The foreground missile missing the two fins is there because once the batch by the Marstruck got messed up I moved away...and then two of the fins fell through the ground like they used to when I put the kit down to assemble it. No clue if that was due to the prior interaction with the Marstruck or something else, but yeah parts falling through the ground are not fixed in all instances.

Point I am trying to convey is there are a number of bugs that are specific to interactions with the Marstruck that need to be identified (and hopefully fixed) prior to full release.

I get that, I wasn't arguing your purpose, just pointing out a workaround while the issue persists.
No worries. :104:

hi, thanks for very detailed description of the issue. We are analyzing the problem.
