Solar Panel Cleaning?
(title)
I enjoy playing this game. What I do not enjoy is the Electricity tech tree showing me the auto clean option that has been in work since I started. For the love of all your stranded Martian players, please get this simple QoL up for us.

If I have to look at one more backward-looking loading bar erasing itself as I mindless blow CO2 at a medium panel, I think I will be well on the way to inviting the kind men with the white jacket into my home.

I jest a bit but seriously...save our sanity.

Don't need to clean a Kilo Power reactor. Jus sayin...

CO2 panel cleaning works there and outside the panels. Just blow on the ground. You will also meet the challenge with 50 solars panels. :)

Kilopower is also one of the best ideas. NASA has had trouble producing a power source on the rover so far. Here they are already fantasizing about an atomic power source on Mars. Growing trees for Christmas in a greenhause is also a no-brainer. :)

I hear you. I just like the ascetic side as well. I also wish the power was fusion based but I do not want to complain about a game I like too much. We will not see a realistic fusion alternative in my time but by the time we can realistically go to Mars I would imagine we would be on at least the brink.

The game is great, we don't need to talk about that. The developers' ideas are not cool anymore. There's a big difference between Occupy Mars: Prologue and The Game itself. Lots of content and neither works 100 percent. I bought the game, supported the developers and expect quality! They are adding new non-functional content in the game at the expense of quality. I have a bad feeling about this. This project will turn out like the Star Citizen game. 100 years in development. The only thing missing here is a series of colorful Solar Panels in the form of paid DLC.

The kilopower don't need to be cleaned, it's maybe the only thing wich is better than solar panels.

one Kilopower is around equal at 2 solar panels, it only gives 88 KW for it cost.

Me, I just build my base to be fully robust, with batteries and wind turbines (mostly batteries), so that I don't have to do anything for cleaning my panels. I always have enough reserve power so that I can just let the panels clean themselves. I think that adds a little strategy to base building. Wouldn't you want to build a base that is automatically equipped to handle any hazard if you were building one in real life?

I don't use wind turbines, i think they have so little power. I have enough uranium bars to make several kilopower, even if the power is only 88 KW.
With solars pannels and fully extended batteries, it should make something robust too.

Indeed, wind turbines are not needed for the general base, just a matter of style. They are hand for a few things, like wells, antennas, and vehicle charge stations, but otherwise are definately non-essential with the release of the Kilowatts
