NPCs Dying Randomly *fixed*
I'm not super sure what's going on.. I'll be doing my thing, checking trunks and passports and suddenly I hear a cry from some spot in the yard and one of the NPCs drops dead - Game Over? This keeps happening and we aren't in a firefight or anything, they're just standing in their usual spots

That's correct, i was getting a game over screen and had to reload. I think it may have been the way I was parking my car? I started having the mechanic respawn my car each time after use instead of parking it near the road. I have an inkling that passing cars were hitting it and nudging it into the mechanic

That was likely the cause. If your police car kills an NPC, even when you're not in it, it's considered a deliberate kill by the player. Using the respawn option or parking in safer spots should help avoid that.

Ye, almost immediately after having it parked for me instead of leaving it somewhere in some grass I stopped having issues. I've been protecting the checkpoint with no issues and no dirty smugglers
