The game is BROKEN. Contraband not showing up, literally

I tested this twice already, 2 times imperfect check

I have one place of contraband show up. I check the entire car THREE times over, no other places popped up. Contraband/smuggled goods literally do NOT show up

It's impossible to play challenge mode right now

Wtf is going on? I thought the latest patch was regarding the performance only, and driving physics.....

I am Top 3 Rank in Challenge leaderboards so plz take my word for it

p.s. btw the contraband in question was alcohol. I think the other one I had issue with NOT show up (especially in vehicle engine Azam/Varilla) was Contraband Money. I checked that engine for like a whole minute cuz I was just sure it was in it and it just didn't show up

There is no snake symbol on the wheel and bumper and the results are then reported that there were contraband and sometimes you can hardly see broken windows

Yeah its just flatout broken. I don't understand why developers are not seeing any of this to fix this. The previous iterations of the game did not have ANY issues with smugglers and their contraband and snake symbols at all

Not even just snake symbols

In the Engine, you dont have a snake symbol and you need to pick up an item by hand, an item, which doesn't even exist lol

While not always going to be cigarettes, weapons, coke or alcohol, so you'll have to discern the colors & sizes carefully

Note: For the UV Light to actually work, you may need to be really close to exterior objects such as bumpers, tires or prefab body parts

In Case You Don't Know of These Locations

• Hood/Trunk: Pertaining to literally either then Engine, Trunk &/or Hood per basis of vehicle, the engine contraband can be hard to spot & would need specific angles sometimes, simply moving your reticle around you may be able to get it to show up as red, as it can be within the engine itself or along the edge
  
  
• Under the Dashboard: These tricky things are literally underneath, you'll have to be out of the vehicle more than likely in a civilian vehicle to notice them, whereas larger trucks obviously you can seem them much easier just looking from inside the door
  
  
• Under the Front Seats: While I say this, technically I've only found them poking out the backside of the front seats, which you can spot some from outside the door easily enough
  
  
• Glove Box/Car's Passenger Container: Usually placed in front of a passenger seat, a compartment that can open can reveal contraband in there as well
  
  
• Seats Contraband: Don't forget that contraband can be within the interior/seats within a vehicle
  
  
• Exterior Container on a Truck: Forgot which one it may be, but there is a container just outside the driver side door just behind it, that there is a container there that contraband can be within as well
  
  
• Ignore This Maybe/Misremember: I may be misremembering on this one, can possibly be above the wheel in the inside just above the tire or near it, my mind says yes, but I can't be for sure

I'm glad I'm your favorite person on steam, however the game is bugged right now, simple as that

I already got #3 on challenge leaderboards by being perfect with all my checks, that requires you to find all the contraband places and get that 120$ perfect check

I already know the places where contraband lies, almost in every single vehicle perfectly

It simply doesnt spawn. Either the snake symbol isn't there, or the actual item isn't there in the engine

I can't even play challenge mode with this bs new patch. They ruined the game lol

I've experienced missing snakes myself. I used the UV on the air filter, looking carefully from all angles. No snake, Figured there's nothing there. Wrong! The summary told me that there was contraband in the air filter. Now I just crack that thing open regardless, just in case. :P

Better off - dont play the game in the current state. Its just broken and wait for future patches. Idk what developers are doing. When we pointed out things, they'd come out everyday and have a fix. Now the game is broken, there's no telling when anything will be fixed

After today's tests, I can confirm that there are no issues with marking contraband locations in any of the game modes. If any of you have a recording of an inspection where such a problem is evident, please send it to us at: [e-mail]

Please keep in mind that hiding spots for contraband can sometimes be difficult to notice. Even during testing, I missed a few locations that I only spotted later while reviewing the footage.

At the same time, we are aware of other issues related to Challenge Mode, and we're actively working on resolving them. You can expect a patch in the coming days.

Please tell me you're kidding. I had 2-3 smugglers imperfectly inspected because they didn't have contraband in places they were supposed to have (revealed after the inspection). I can't even play challenge mode anymore because I need to be 100% precise. Literally on the first 1-2 days I get imperfect smugglers checks left and right despite the fact that I just did a #3 leaderboard run where I HAD to be 100% perfect with my smugglers

No, I'm not crazy, there's something wrong with the game after that performance update. I had a smuggler where I "missed" not one but TWO pieces of contraband. Don't tell me that it was all my fault because I know for damn sure it wasn't

Please make the game go back to the way it was before so I can go for Rank 1 to be the best Challenge Inspector in the whole damn world. I can't achieve that with imperfect smugglers

I'm not really that good at that kind of stuff. All I know is that I can't do challenge mode either way cuz of broken smugglers

And no idea when any of that is gonna be fixed

The game worked so great before, I wish I could roll back the game version but I can't do that either.

Just bumping this thread, it is absolutely broken. I triple checked everything after finding the first few contraband and it's claiming I missed two tires on a Micro. Complete nonsense.

I was playing whatever the non-story mode is.

Do not argue with us and just fix the game. It is BROKEN in challenge mode. I can't speak for campaign/inspector

I can't start the car in campaign mode now. That's nice. I guess I won't be playing that mode anymore.
