Super Low Frame Rate

I just returned to the game 3 weeks since I last played but suddenly the frame rate is unplayable! Even on the lowest settings it is quite bad. I'm not sure what has suddenly changed or if an update has changed things but previously I could play on max settings smoothly. Any ideas?

i'm having the same problem except I just started playing the game today. I also have all the graphic settings set to low and volumetric lighting is disabled. I'm not sure why but turning off v-sync gave me a few extra frames, however the game is still borderline unplayable.

Same issue. RTX 3080TI and an i9-7980XE running the lowest settings at 5-10 FPS. I'm guessing it's the game itself glitching out somewhere rather than anything hardware related. Hopefully they patch this ASAP.

Disabling volumetric lighting may help while we work to improve the performance.

All seems to be good and back to normal now! No need to even drop down volumetric lighting!

My FPS is quite low too, especially while driving. Definitely, FPS issues needs to be addressed for this game. My hardware system is not bad as well, pretty good gaming system. I am playing some other games with heavier graphics, but this game has issues with low FPS.

Windows 24H2 update has a bug. If you have the default power profile set as "High Performance", the CPU is going to run very slow after sleep or hibernate.

It can be fixed by either rebooting the PC or going to "Choose a power plan" and switching between "Balanced" back to "High Performance".
