1 ambush (randomly placed on the map) once pr day would be perfect\fine, with perhaps 3-4 being placed on certain days (every 5th day, for example).
Beyond the ambushes being annoying and unfun when frequently encountered, it also serves as an ammo-duping glitch. I have more ammo than I know what to do with, as it's thrown at me like candy from all the ambushes.

It also would make missions \ attacks more fun. Currently I just went through 3 ambushes (that totalled my car to a crawl, as all tiers were blown out, bear in mind, this was after just having fixed the thing after it being totalled in the previous ambush on the SAME DAY), and on my way to do what I actually wanted to do (towards midnight, because you only have like 20 minutes to do everything in a day), I get an "attack on outpost! Come here in 5 minutes" warning, with a car that can barely move because the tires were blown out by the previous ambush prior to it all...
It's just an unfun mechanic all around (car is fully upgraded).
Any plans on adjusting the frequency of it, and not just a simple on\off? I do enjoy the ambushes, if it only happened less often and felt more like a surprise.
You're welcome, glad we could improve it!
I've only ever been ambushed twice per trip, twice for taking people to the labor camps and once or twice for delivering the goods to the police base...
I would hope it's based off of the quantity of items or prisoners...
As in if your transporting, lets say 5 or 8 prisoners once with a van full of contraband, then it would make sense that more people would be willing to attack you then say, you just have a single shipment of weapons or cocaine in your van, people would be less willing to risk their lives for that.
At least to me it makes more sense, there are pros and cons to everything.
If you arrest someone and just transport the 1-4 contraband items plus the smuggler said day, less people would know about it, and it'd be a smaller haul, but you'd have to drive much more frequently.
Vs
hoarding everything till you run out of storage (or are close to being full) and making one big haul, when weeks go by and no-one has received their product or weapons, making them want to attack you more frequently, and having more ambushes while on the road.
You only have to deal with the occasional board raid, and a few ambushes while transporting a huge stock pile in one trip, with the down side of you could potentially lose it all if the transport gets destroyed...
Transporting prisoners > attacked
moving contraband to sell > attacked
some dude driving without being checked > chase and capture him > way back to the base : Attacked
even an ambush once when i had nothing with me and just went to vlad to buy ammo as i was running low.
EDIT: u mean in game day or just when u plaed ?
