Stuck in tutorial at cargo inventory. bug?

im at the part where you use the notes to go over the inventory. for some reason after i pick up my notebook off the table, im no longer able to pull out any tools to check contraband. i tried removing all of them and picking back up, different orders, and even restarted the whole tutorial and even if its a different item (barrel,coffee beans etc) it wont take the tools out to use them to open contraband. it just shows the yellow arrow on the item with contraband. im giving up because i cant progress any further until this task is complete.

Did you try picking up the tools on the table the notebook was on?

I'm on the one where you have to take everything out of the car (flower power hippie van) in the Training. And I'm stuck. Constable Maximov wants to clear the inspection area, indicating an arrest. I can't order the driver to get back into the car, there is absolutely no contraband to be found, I've broken all the items I hauled out of the car, I've smashed the car into pieces, I killed the driver, nothing works.

And I found the solution, you have to write down each item before you take it off the truck. Or the contraband (snake) won't appear.

I'm the same and I can't continue the game as I can't select tools from the table or inventory?

The only way i was able to get past it was to have my cargo list out, and hold LMB at the same time youve got your UV torch out. I was able to see one of the contraband marks that way and it got me past the part where you were halted.
