Vehicle weight check is inconsistent
What am I looking at here? Am I looking at empty weight because I have yet to run across a vehicle weight that matches the registration weight and every time I mark it as a violation, I get dinged for refusing but I also get dinged if I don't check off weight. I have tried with all cargo emptied out as well as the driver out of the vehicle.

The same thing seems to happen with vehicle damage. Despite the memo other board stating that vehicle condition is NOT a reason to deny entry, I still get dinged if I miss it as well as if I check all applicable body damage and not denying entry. Very confusing.

Also, I have yet to figure out how to check the photo other than just visually checking the driver against the photo.

It also seems like the more I upgrade anything, the reward gets smaller and in my opinion the maintenance cost goes up way to much without that much significant advantage from the upgrade.

check when its full of the cargo, it isnt supposed to match, its a violation if the weight is higher than it is on the papers

I'm confused about this as well so your answer is very helpful. So check car + cargo against the MAX weight, correct? If it is over, ding it?

That's correct. Just like in real life. Your vehicle must not be overweight while you drive it.

If the weight sits between curb weight and max weight listed in the book, I don't check it.

What does confuse me though is when the vehicle does not match the description. Do I check the weight against the listed vehicle, or what the vehicle actually is?

The max weight you see on the vehicle registration card, is always the correct weight for the vehicle. So you compare it against the actual vehicle, not the incorrect vehicle type field.

For example, you see a Micros 26D roll in, but vehicle card says it's a Grazduk. The weight limit shown on the card is going to be 990, because that box is always correct, just like in the handbook, Micros26D is 990 kg weight limit.
