This is another one of the errors that PC players of Ring of Elysium are experiencing. However, the fix is quite simple.
The reason why this error is popping up is probably due to the Windows account you are using doesn’t have administrative access. All you have to do is switch to your Windows account with “Administrative Access” and the issue will be resolved.
Another reason for “Steam API Init Failed” error might be your anti-virus or Windows Defender. Either disable your anti-virus or make an exception for Steam in your anti-virus should resolve this issue.

do i always have to play on admin or just start it once on admin?
