Here is how to enable controller!!!

So the game, for whatever reason (sloppy programming).. runs as administrator. So steam controller is passing commands to the game in a different user context, and it won't allow it. To enable controller support, run steam as administrator. Works like a charm..

Because younger gamers have grown up on console games so they're accustomed to the controller.

My left hand fingers are hurt, i think it´s stress, and I can´t use MK, it´s better for this kind of games, but sometimes people have limitations, like I do now. Hope not fo too long.

I am using a PS4 controller but for me this did not work.. Any idea why?

So, I got controller working (specifically PS4 controller, though I've used Xbox controller too), mapped it with reWASD as was suggested in another thread. My issue now is that the right joystick (mapped to the mouse camera functionality) keeps bringing up the ESC menu whenever the joystick is pushed more then about 20% outward in any direction... Any one have any fixes for this? :/ And please skip then "I do, use keyboard/mouse instead lawl herp derp" comments, thank you.

Really liking this game, but simply can't use keyboard/mouse well. Grew up on console and yeah... Thank you.

enjoy the game on m+k while you can; you were lucky to have downloaded it before it was removed from STEAM on Sept 1st, and the game servers will be switched off globally for good in 3 months, Dec 1st 2023.
Not sure what you mean by"another window" STEAM and ROE are two different applications so they will run as two different processes shown in WINDOWS Task Manager. If you mean the graphical user interface when the game is launched you can change in the game's settings whether the game runs in a full-screen or windowed mode
