Having a weird snapping issue with tables
I'm not sure how to describe this. When trying to place a table, it'll snap at an angle. No matter what my settings for snapping are. I tried everything I can think of. Not sure what's causing it either, and I haven't seen anyone else talk about it so it must be a me thing. I installed this on another laptop and it's not having the issue, so maybe it's something I did? I did have steamvr installed because I wanted to see if it'd work, and I think that may be what broke it. Then again, I'm not sure.

Better explanation of the issue: I start up an empty map, i pick up a table from the drawer. It'll snap to the grid straight and no issues. Then, when I pick up a second and try to place it down, it'll place (and the preview will show it) crooked and at an angle. It'll do this no matter what tables I place.

EDIT: I was wrong, the first table is also not straight. It just seems like the angle gets worse the more tables I put down.

It's a really annoying issue and it's really turning me off from the game because I can't focus when the tables are like this.

EDIT 2: I uninstalled and reinstalled the game, it's still doing it. I tried uninstalling steamvr and relaunching the game. Still does it. I'm not sure what is causing this at all, but it's really really annoying.

I have a suggestion, but the Edit 2 stuff makes me less certain.

When placing objects, you can click and hold, and then hit some numbers on the num pad to rotate them. For some reason, they stay rotated in relation to what they're snapping to if you pick up a copy and place that copy.
So, pick up and remove all the messed up tables. Then, grab a fresh copy of that table type from the drawer and try placing that.

Can you please share a screenshot showing this? (especially which way the angle is changing)

That actually helped a lot. I press 0 on the numpad and it fixes it. But I have to do it every single time I place a table. Thanks for the tip, I'll definitely be able to do stuff in game now, even if pressing 0 every time is annoying-

I think i fixed it. I must have messed with the dynamic rotate at one point. Never knew it was a thing, actually.
