Could really use some help with getting to the sun station

Hey guys,
Ive been trying to make the final jump from the emergency door to the station and I keep failing. Each time I either get sucked into the sun. or find myself drifting away in space.

Ive looked at several guides to no avail. didnt find any answers. It seems its not supposed to be this hard and im just missing something.

Really dont wanna give up so close to the end. please help me out :(

It should be a case of taking it gently, just walking forward rather than jumping, not too fast, and only tiny adjustments to keep you on track

It's really easy to overthink it and treat it like a flying leap!

i find if you just run forward, don't press jump, you get there pretty safely

Just move forward without jump and don't touch your jets except to GENTLY glide around the broken catwalk.

Are you familiar with the "match velocity" function? It makes it significantly easier to focus a target location and get yourself to it because it steadies you alongside it. You are able to to focus on the opposite door that you need to reach, match velocity with it, and then slowly jet over to it while matching velocity. That should get you across the gap much more easily than just jumping out and praying your fingers are steady.

The thing about the Sun Station is there's some funky trigger in the space between the two rooms that forces your camera to do a 180 degree roll while navigating. Just let the roll trigger do its thing and navigate in a straight line, only doing the minimum required to dance around obstacles if you need to.

when I did it i held L1 (i used a controller) to turn my character around. I just alternating from being upside down and rightside up and just let momentum bring me to the other side.
