Blood ties game breaking bug halted progress
Hi, before reading this be warned this is very spoiler heavy, i will include a screenshot showing the area i'm stuck in and even that screenshot will reveal a MAJOR spoiler so don't try to help me unless you've been there!

I'm making my way out of prison as hugo, with mommy beatrice, i've just now unlocked the power to control the rats, and i'm at an area where a bunch of rats are blocked inside a grate by a lantern. My obvious instinct is to turn the lantern away from their path and send them at the guard standing at the exit, but both A and D turn the lantern towards the left (i wanted to aim it at the wall to the right at first). It turns about 30 degrees and then it locks into position.
Well not really locks, it's not like it's intentional because pressing either of the movement keys will make it jitter, but keep it's position.

I've already tried making the guard spot me so i can lure him past the area the light is stuck in but getting spotted is an instant game over on this one.

I've tried reloading from main menu, closing entire game neither of which worked. If this issue persists without response i'm going to have to put a negative review on an otherwise great game, it's pretty weak how this is the second progress breaker already in a fully linear title.

To be able to use the lantern correctly, please, enable vertical synchronisation :

Settings > Graphics > Vertical synchronisation set to "YES"

but if you have a very high end GPU (say 1080ti or 2080) and fps is still high V-sync
just change resolution setting to 4K

Settings > Graphics > Screen Resolution > 3840 X 2160

hit Apply resolution under it, rotate lantern and restore your previous settings.
works like charm!!

Tell us if it helps you :)

Thanks !

Wtf there were like 3-4 replies already but they're gone, thank you for your help, turning on vsync fixed it right away, awesome game!

Turning on vsync also fixed a problem where all the rats would pile up on one guard leaving no rats to "eat" the other ones. This is right after the cutscene where you're confronted with the grand inquisitor.

I had 200/250 fps and with vsync it got limited to 144.
