I have just figured it out. If I went to my "\Steam\steamapps\common\A Plague Tale Innocence" folder, and tried to launch the game from APlagueTaleInnocence_x64.exe file, I got an error message that one of Microsoft Visual C++ libraries was missing. The file VCOMP140.DLL to be more specific.
So I found somewhere on the net, that this file is a part of Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015.
You can download it from https://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/download/details.aspx?id=48145.
Before you can install it you will probably need to uninstall the previous version. The one which starts from number 14 and some other numbers follow. You can do it from the Programs and Features in your Control Panel.
You are my hero! That fix worked for me, too! :)
