Dualsense Issue

I am trying to play this game with my dualsense controller, plugged in and with steam input disabled, but no input gets recognised. Has anyone had this issue/found a fix?
If I enable steam controller support, it detects as a ps4 controller in game, so I still get the correct button prompts, but no vibration. It says the game natively supports dualsense controllers, but I cant find a way to get it working
