Stuck at chapter 5: Turn crank of trebuchet
I cannot go past the part in chapter 5 where you have to turn the crank of the trebuchet so that Hugo can fetch the stick for the torch. The game says "Press E repeatedly" and I tried thirty times now and pressed E again and again fast like a madman. It did not work. There must be something I am doing wrong. Does anybody please have a hint how to resolve this?

yes, it doesn't lower and after a few seconds Amicia and Lucas let it off so that I have to start again from the beginning

Well that's weird. Did you set in on fire first?

yes

Just tried it, works fine for me. The only time I had the two of them let go of it is when I pressed E once and not again afterwards. So try pressing E once for them to latch on, and once they grab it, start slamming that E repeatedly. Otherwise I dunno... maybe check to see if your system language is set to English, or maybe rebind the command to another key to see if anything changes.

I tried it a few times again in the way you described but could not get It to work. Probably I am not slamming the E fast enough but cannot do it faster. Some times I thought I got a little bit further but not so much. Binding the command to another key also did not do the trick. Thanks for your help anyway!

Cant imagine what the problem is, unless its related to your keyboard or something: It doesnt really require fast pressing (nowhere near as fast as Fahrenheit for example).
If you want I can give you my save file, but I think you would have to continue from sixth chapter if I recall how saves work.

Problem resolved: I installed the game on an other PC (older hardware but better graphics card). There everything worked easily without problems.
It was my fault. I did not check before if the graphics card of the laptop on which I have played the game up to now met the minimum system requirements of the game: It did not.
Thanks again, Samael.
