Thanks to epic games
This game was free months ago on epic games, they think they are creating some kind of a competition with steam while in reality all they did was help me test if i like the game and if it runs well. Now i can buy the game on steam and enjoy it, along with steam achievements :D

Thanks epic, gonna test Nioh next.

Nioh is really rough on the first real boss. So if you can't get passed that without help. Then you probably won't last long in the game.

Just send half of your monthly salary to Gabe Newell that should teach Epic a lesson. :gman::cozyspaceengineersc:

Valve pretty much have a monopoly on the market. Whether you like Epic or not, they provide much needed competition that can only be beneficial to the consumer in the long run. To think there are people that shun this is incredibly stupid and short-sighted.

This post is incredibly stupid and short sighted. Valve is big but is by no means a monopoly. It does not control where PC games can be sold and other companies have storefronts that sell games and do just fine. Incidentally, Epic sued Apple claiming Apple's store was a monopoly and lost that claim, and the Apple store is far more restrictive and monolithic compared to Steam.

By the way, the whole argument about competition being good sounds nice, but makes very little sense in the case of PC storefronts. Steam has been the biggest for about 10 years and and what have we gotten as consumers? deep discounts; remote play; robust social interface through steam; proton; innovative hardware; achievements; cards to buy and sell; forums; guides; mod integration through workshop feature; ease of use; mobile app; family sharing; controller compatibility, even for games that don't support it; an open market that sells virtually any type of game. If steam is a monopoly, it definitely is not exploiting the market. Instead, it's created a pro consumer marketplace that has only helped PC gaming through the years.

Epic, on the other hand, is trying to be a monopoly. Buying exclusivity so that you're forced to buy a game only through Epic is extremely monopolistic. And the free games? Nothing is truly ever free. They're using the free games to undermine steam and siphon players and buyers to their storefront. I personally dread seeing a day when all games look like fortnite and are controlled by Epic.
