There is a difference between something not being a game and something not being a game you like
Go back playing trash games like GTA 5 or Fortnite then, at least this feels like a videogame unlike the recent Death Stranding, a movie with awful gameplay that got 9/10 and 10/10 for no reason. A Plague Tale Innocence deserves the praise it gets.
At least that's what some troglodyte tried telling everyone who liked Witcher 3
Oh crap, my whole sense of reality has been distorted! Maybe I don't like anything unless strangers on the internet tell me I do, when really I had a miserable time playing Plague Tale despite gasping and smiling throughout the entire experience.
I have just asked for refund - I was not even in-game for the first time, when I should choose language the game just chose som asian stuff and I was not touching anything, keyboard, mouse, anything. And now obviously I cannot go back to the menu.
And I was not even in-game only outside trying to enter the game.
CRAP.
You didn't like a game and now its bad!. And all the reviews are fake?!..should we all like the same kind of games?!...what do you like? Boring repetitive FPS? Load and shoot games? Are people that like Doom fake too? After all; that's all you do in Doom. Load and shoot!! Just because Amicia fire a sling shot that doesn't mean there is no combat. If anything the combat is more divers and more fun in Plague Tale. And you need to use your head before you fire. I didn't see any review from you talking carp about Doom. And why are the reviews fake? I don't remember any review claiming this game is something that its not? Were you excepting something else? Did you actually read the reviews that you call fake? It doesn't seem like you did. It doesn't sound like you did your homework...oh wait...in a later comment you were wondering how people are comparing this game to hellblade!....now I know you are just trolling...while I love hellblade . you really think there are more of a (game play/mechanics) in Hellblade than this one?!...its the opposite. The game play is far more simple in HB...and HB is closer to be an interactive movie than plague tale.

It obviously is a game. It features plenty of gameplay and interesting mechanics. There's a big emphasis on puzzles, which would make for dull watching if it were simply an interactive CGI movie, but they're fun to solve when you're doing it. People calling it the worst game ever are clueless - have they read up on the mess that is Fallout 76, to pick just one example?
If the game wasn't what you expected it to be then you didn't do your homework before purchasing - reviews on YouTube I watched were all very clear that this is a simple, linear game. Reviews on Steam that I read all said the same thing. I just scrolled through a load of positive reviews and I think most people have been perfectly clear. If you're expecting adrenaline pumping combat then buy CoD - you play a young girl and you're fighting heavily armoured soldiers. Your combat abilities are limited. My own review is quite clear on what it is and what it isn't.
It's linear, it borrows more than a few elements from The Last of Us (not a bad thing in my view, because TLOU is a masterpiece) and it's slow paced.
It is not as good as TLOU and there are plenty of things I'd change (e.g. I'd have appreciated a bit more openness on some levels so you've got more options for completing them), but this is a developer that have up until now made Disney franchise games, unlike Naughty Dog who've got plenty of experience with these sorts of titles. This is Asobo Studio's first venture into this sort of game and it's damn impressive, and personally I'm looking forward to them making another title in the same vein.
It isn't for everyone. It doesn't have to be.
A lot of people clearly enjoyed the game and it's gotten positive reviews both from pro critics and players. Not everyone is getting paid off for leaving them.
