Making Amicia walk.....how?
Just started the game and I'm only able to make Amicia sprint (and crouch, etc.) but I don't see any key to make her to simply walk. I'm at her home, in the yard and she only runs around.

Am I missing something? I know there are times when the game makes her walk...but I want to also have that ability. Can anyone help?

With a gamepad you just press the analog stick forward a bit and she walks instead of running.
Dont know how it works on mouse + keyboard since you dont have any analog control.
Most likely not possible if there is no key defined in the options.

I guess there's no need to repeat the same topic.

Thanks for the info....That's pretty disappointing that Amicia is unable to walk unless I use a gamepad, which I don't. I'm strictly a mouse and keyboard user. I cannot understand why the devs did not program a key for walking. Most every other game has that. So, I will be refunding. I was really looking forward to playing this game.....

Wait. You are disappointed that you cant walk? Damn, thats a feature i care the least about.
There are parts in the game were she automatically walks.

Well if you are that obsessed with KB&M I'm afraid a Coolermaster MK850 might be the only viable solution so far like we discussed in that last post(or Roccat Isku+ Force FX, if you can still get it). But if you are southpaw(you can probably still make do with it) or simply prefer using mouse to walk... then I really don't see how.

I kind of wish there's a third party solution by emulating the analog feature with the mouse scroll wheel, but there isn't.

I know the earlier splinter cell games used the wheel to adjust the speed. Was actually pretty good to have it like that. I know the wheel is mainly used to select weapons but i personally called uo the wheel to select the right type of ammo.

For LILLHOO - Please help us understand something. Are you saying there is not one key you can program or add in a config setting or something to allow a "walk-toggle" or just "walk'?

I want very much to buy your game. It's beyond impressive, so if you can add a walk key, please post that and I will purchase the game. Thank you!

I may sound ignorant but please explain to me why walking is such a major thing for you.

Well, I for one would like to take in the scenery. It just seems strange to be running when there is no danger around.

for METAL - having to run constantly (unless the game itself makes Amicia walk) doesn't seem right. The graphic detail is astonishing and I'd like to see it, not just run past it. Plus....constant running kinda ruins the immersion and "realism". And, as Batootcat said: " It just seems strange to be running when there is no danger around."

still fail to see why refund a game for just a small segment at the beginning and how this breaks the immersion for not being able to walk. its a game after all.
after that you have to escape and then later on there are forced parts where she only walks.

when i see something i like i just stop and look.

well, you will see once they implement it and then you can enjoy this great game.

That's a really petty reason to not play an amazing game. suck it up and enjoy the game for what it is.

And that's a petty reason to dismiss these concerns. Amicia's default running speed using M+KB sets off enemy awareness early in the game until her boots are upgraded. It also breaks immersion.

Immersion is the most important factor in these narrative driven games. This isn't Fortnite here.
