Fantastic Bugs and Where to Find Them
After reaching top of the lighthouse hair of the person in black squares.
Gamepad only works if it is connected after luanch of game.
When you talk to the girl (after cutscene) before icon «objective» is appeared - dead end. Only alt+f4 helps.

About «dead end» I mean game stuck: no button respond on controller or keyboard only force-quit helps. It's happen only in one place - hospital after cutscene about sweet medicine.

Thank you for that information.

Regarding the controller issue.
Have you set up your Xbox One controller with Steam yet? You can do so in big picture mode.
There is a chance that this is interfering with it when starting up the game, which is why the controller isn't recognized immediately.
