Hopefully they will be put back again. Good thing I added enough gold and other extras to tide me over at least until I finish Chapter 1. lol
Not again. Do they really think people won't notice second time?
They should add popup with big red letters warning people that buying CHEATS from marketplace is CHEATING and will disable achievements (it should if enabling cheats on console does. Cheating is cheating after all paid or not.) and may ruin their game experience (like some developer who's name I won't say here said somewhere
Alternatively the last part could read "We'll take good care of your money, SUCKER!!!"
Actually, this is my third playthrough of this game and the cheats I applied did not ruin my game. So that isn't an issue since the cheat system was already included in the game to begin with.
Cheats disabling achievements is fine with me. I don't really care about that. I only mentioned it because it wasn't made clear whether or not that would happen. Also, the one achievement I was awarded, I got after having already applied some cheats.
Also, I don't really care what people think of me using cheats. I paid good money to play this game several years ago, and I paid good money for this new dlc I was originally promised I'd get for free. So as far as I am concerned, like all others who play this game and use cheats, I believe I more than paid for the privelage to use the cheats to my heart's content.
In the end though, if the cheats are removed permanently, I won't be one of the people stomping my feet and complaining about it. I'll still play the game and enjoy doing it because I actually like playing this game.
Sucker? Wasting money? Not really,
I purchased a product that works for me. I may not like that I can't use console commands to get around bugs and give myself more realistic starting stats and some extra gold, but that doesn't make the game less enjoyable for me.
And in all fairness, who is going to pay real money for items for a game that is so old. I can't justify spending even 1 cent on a health potion. All i want to do is use the commands to level up so i can see how much fun a wizard can be when you don't have all your points spent on Health.
It was just poking fun at ehm certain anonymous developers double standards concerning cheats.
I personally don't have anything against people using cheats for what ever reason in single player games.
I actually appreciated the humor, but felt a need to reply anyway.
It's all good. :-)
Suuure would be nice to have an enabled Cheat Console right now as the devs feel just fine leaving in (what I've now discovered to be) an ancient game bug unpatched.
I discovered from another post,
and verified that the Cheats console does work.
All the devs did was remove "twoworldscheats" as the code and replaced it with "cotcheats".
So to get the cheats to work type without the quotes, "cotcheats".
Thanks to Steev for starting the discussion where I found this information to begin with, and staying with it.
God bless you
Yeah, I agree.
I got mostly through the 2nd chapter when I decided to start over and do an "honest" playthrough. The only thing I really miss is not having to save up my auras for various purchases. The dice games though do help when I need to make extra auras to purchase personal teleport platforms or buy that expensive house in Hatmandor.
I never played the dice games before. Even then, auras are so easy to come by. At least as an archer playthrough.
