Power Plant/Lighthouse Range
What's the range on these things? I can't tell.

Also, a suggestion - tell us what the buildings do! The game would benefit a lot from tooltips for buildings. There's no description at all of what these do. I assumed the lighthouse was to produce light, apparently that's not right at all.

You can see kind of a shadow around the lighthouse. I'm not sure if it's an area of effect or what. I can't figure out what the lighthouse does at all other than sit there.

It's both a radius of 12 tiles. But im unsure if a building must be fully in the circle.

Interesting... Thank you! I didn't see it at first because there were circles coming from mining rods in the way.

So... what do they do?

I know that the Power Plant increases the speed of the Crafting Stations in its radius. At least thats how it has been in the Pre-Alpha Demo that got released a few months back.

I think the lighthouse increases the dropcount of harvested resources in its radius.

Still would like some tool-tips for pretty much anything like gear and what buildings do. For example i didn't know that the Amulets increase the amount of resources that you mine.
And the Book gives you an XP increase.

Would have been nice to know those from the beginning, instead when i was at the end of the game. Wouldn't have made it so much of a grind.

The Lighthouse increases the amount of rescources you get, and the Power Plant speeds up the crafting rate of all the buildings in it's area.

I didn't even know the book was an accessory until I scoured the wiki to figure out which accessory I was missing; with a name like "moldy book" I assumed it was part of a late scroll recipe.

tooltips in a game like this ? NO!
its a trial and error game, its on purpose that there are no tooltips on anything, so you have to figure it out on your own how to do things and what the things do.
its part of the fun to figure out the stuff, if you are not that kind of person who wants to figure the stuff out, well there is google and wiki's for everything.

"hur dur everyone play the game like me cause my way of doing thing is the one valid way to do anything"

There's a difference between trial and error "Hmmm, I wonder what would happen if I stacked x number of lighthouses", "Do lighthouses effect crafted item drops", or "Do power plants effect fishtraps" that sort of thing and "What does this even do?" Sure, you don't have specify in explicit detail how things interact because that is something that most people who are inclined to question such things would want to test.

But at a bare minimum having an indication of what buildings do, for example that power plants speed building production wouldn't be a bad thing. Because there's no obvious reason to build them given in game, and the effect of placing one isn't terribly obvious (at least it wasn't to me). Spamming three of them makes it more obvious, but placing more of a building that seemingly did nothing wasn't high on my to-do list until I found out what they were supposed to do.

Harberst: yeah, that's the problem, half of this stuff you could build and you STILL wouldn't know wtf it did.
