+1 I've got the same problem, the game is pretty unplayable at that speed too

Turn on Vsync in-game, that does fix it for now. Until you restart, where it says it's on but it's actually off, so you have to turn it off and on again.

Still, it does need solving properly as it's kinda hilarious :P it seems it's somehow tied to the framerate.

I have to toggle vsync off and on again every time I start the game up on Linux. I think the timer is also a bit wonky, since I got the 3 hours achievement in a little more than an hour. On top of that, achievements don't register to Steam on Linux...

FYI, the vsync trick doesn't work for me. Vega 64, Solus Linux. I am using a 144hz display if that makes any difference.

Radeon RX Vega (VEGA10, DRM 3.27.0, 5.0.7-114.current, LLVM 7.0.0)

I noticed something. The game doesn't launch with the native runtime enabled in LSI (Linux Steam Integration) .. I rarely encounter one that doesn't work. No idea if there might be a connection there.

LSI: https://github.com/solus-project/linux-steam-integration

For Ubuntu you can try the experimental snap packages on that page if you'd like to do any testing.

I look forward to playing, thanks for the linux support 👍

+1 nvidia geforce 970gtx dual monitor setup. vsync doesn't seem to help in either windowed or full screen. 120hz monitor. kubuntu1804

edit: more info. Turning on vsync slows down the background scrolling on menu page, but has no effect in game

I have the same issue in linux, changing vsync did not help.

Same problem:

GPU: GeForce GTX 980
OS: 64bit Arch Linux (5.0.9 kernel)
Monitor: 144hz

Game runs too fast with all combinations of fullscreen and vsync options.

Forcing 60hz seems to help.

Forcing VSYNC off seems to make the problem worse.

Same problem.

OS: Ubuntu 18.04.2 LTS
CPU: i7-7700HQ @ 2.80GHz
GPU: GeForce GTX 1050 (with driver 415.27-0ubuntu0~gpu18.04.2)

Trying to force VSync seems to have no effect at all.

You can check "Enable Graphics API Visual Indicator" under "OpenGL Settings" in nvidia-settings before starting the game. That'll let you know if vsync is actually on or off.

in english :
for me it was enough to disable the nvidia card and pass on the intel processor integrated graphics card and then a restart and the game is in normal speed since.:steamhappy:
en français
pour moi il as suffit de désactivé la carte nvidia et de passer sur la carte graphique integré du processeur intel et puis un redémarrage et le jeu est en vitesse normal depuis.
