Also 1400 is definitely way too high if you're not counting things like the tsunami.
I bet my GTA online character alone has killed over a million since 2015
arrest me, if you dare
For me and with a character like Lara, it's really jarring playing a character like this.
I'll probably avoid playing this game for a while.
It's funny that in other community discussions ppl were complaining about sjw and marxist games and here its all about pacifism
nuts
Sorry, it's hard to make Lara into this human, relateable character, which the dev team seems to want to do with her in these games, and have her just kill with reckless abandon.
That fits well in a game like Bayonetta or Doom. It doesn't fit well for a character I'm supposed to empathize with. And so I won't, and I'll play the game and won't give a damn about the "narrative" or story: the two things that are emphasized highly in this game.
The "absolute state of nature" is a hypothetical context used by philosophers to expose human nature, not an actual state of existence. Lara, in this game, isn't in the absolute state of nature.
If there are people trying to kill her, that's great. But the fact she murders and entire army of people because the devs couldn't find any other means of compelling gameplay for the character is more an indictment of them and their attempted narrative than anything. There's no problem with violence in a game; there's every problem with the way this game attempts to shoehorn it into the character and narrative and it's awkward.
This isn't some default alternative design. If the devs weren't lazy and cared about making a better game they could've created something like Metal Gear/ Deus Ex did where you could choose non-lethal take-down options and build those mechanics into the game. It's a huge missed opportunity in my mind.
But I think there was less combat in this one than in Rise of TR, but still too much. I kind of like the stealth-parts (although I would rather sneak behind), but the waves of enemies coming at her and you have to shoot at all that moves is over the top for a TR.
You do not know what you are talking about. A serial killer goes through a time of cooling down and returns to killing. Learn the differences between a serial killer and mass murderer. God, your ignorance.
Dont play a game, kiddo
