Bug is the water wheel puzzle at the hidden temple

I reached the hiddden temple for getting the box. To proceed i have to open 2 gates which are controlled by 2 water wheel each.For the 2nd wheel a pillar needs to be turned to divert water to the wheel. But there is some debris at the base of the pillar which is not letting me do it. When i reach the base of the pillar, there is no popup for action to remove the debris. Can someone please help me with this

If its the one I remember, the debris to break is underwater. If you can't interact with it, it sounds like a bug.

I had the same problem. You have to move the other piller first

I had this issue.. I missed the X button popup and it disspeared.. I had to move out of the water, and away a bit and come back to it for the X prompt to reppear.

You are missing one thing you need to do: Turn the pillar above the one you are speaking so that it fills the area which has depris with water. Now depris is underwater and you can go remove it easily.

thanks for the tip malaire. The action pop up came as soon as it filled with water. Not a bug.

The solution to the puzzle doesn't make much sense, I just had to do it now.

This took me a while to figure out as well - could have been designed better, so that it was more obvious WHY you can't just hack away the debris. But try moving the second water spout around, you'll get it.

Ok.. I leave this here in case someone find it usefull. It is related to the FIRST wheel.. I had the same issue but it was kind of a bug. When approaching the debris, the (X) prompted. but for some reason it didn't work. To make it short: put the controller on the table and press (E) on the keyboard. 20 minutes going arround on that f#"kng cave... Im so mad right now...

you have no one to blame but yourself gentlemen, sure the pop up is there, but you had to do the same thing when you played Rise TR. the last cave you entered in the lost city required you do the same thing. even the old school TR's had the same type of puzzle only it required you to flood the room in order to escape. by the time you had reached that puzzle it should have been like clock work to do. rule of thumb when playing TR, the answer is always rite in front of you.

if you think that puzzle was hard how are you ever gonna figure out the temple of the sun?

Have you guys with controller issues tried to set controller option as YES at Steam Bigpicture?

When there is conflict between KB&M and Controller, this solves.

Ok, you don't need to defend your logic. We each see our own way thru a given puzzle. There is one or two puzzle's that make no sence to me either. But there are no "bugs" that prevent you from completing any of the puzzle's. Leaving only player error to blame.

There is one common ground in many games today, "E" and "F". In TR you can rebind most keys in both slots and everything will work fine. Except the "E" and "F" they must be in 1 of those 2 slots, how do I know this? Because I had trouble with the game when I moved them.

I don't use a controller to play TR, so those with issues using G-pads should be aware of what I stated above.

If some one had never seen or played a TR game in the past they would not have understood what I said about. It's not a requirement to play TR. I hope that clear's up any issues or bugs you may have.

omg. thank you so much! i spent like 15 minutes running around too. i new the the rubble was what i had to do since it showed the square symbol to destroy it. somehow the controller wasn't working but when i used E on the keyboard it worked. thanks for posting this.
