Genuinely fun and enjoyable, scratches the same itch as ETS2 and ATS. I like the way you configure the difficulty.

Simple controls, easy to drive, great sounds, nice graphics.

Derail valley for people with jobs

This is a beautiful rail sim.
The physics are fantastic, the graphics are really good.
There is a save function so you can continue your journey at will.
There is a good editor to make your own routes and timetables.

And AI trains! You never feel lonely on track.

I am coming from Simrail, which is maybe a bit better graphic-wise, but is still far from complete. Has no save feature, no AI trains in single player scenarios and no editor.

This game is a complete rail sim gem.

This is a grand game. A delightfully implemented simulator. The graphics are a little dated but still decent. The physics is excellent. Controls are not exactly intuitive but you can remap to whatever you want. It sort of supports Raildriver. There is a bit of variety in trains and a few routes in the workshop. It has all the things you want like if you SPAD it is your problem (enjoy that head on).

A really good simulator of the UK diesel era. There have been regular free updates and the game goes from strength to strength. A little know gem, better than some of the better known train simulators, though I've got them all because they are all so different. This one specialises in diesel railcars with the changing gears system which is fun to drive. There is also a Class 37. Easy to learn but hard to master.

Great simulation of the late era 60s locos, Runs great on my RX 6800 with very little stutter (There was a massive framerate drop when i was doing a night run in a built up area, could have been the platform lights and buildings that was the issue) but overall i highly recommend the game/sim and look forward to the updates in the future as the developer seems to have some nice surprises planned

Let me start this off by first saying that this is one of the most realistic train simulators I've played. Graphically, it may not be up there with the best of the games, but it has a really nice style to it which I personally really like, but the realism completely makes up for that by far. The game has received significant improvement over the past few years and is worth every single penny.

It has to be said: the person or team working on Diesel Railcar Simulator, has been one of the most dedicated, in it for the long haul people I've ever come across in this hobby.

This thing has been under constant development since 2018, that's going on 6 YEARS!!
It keeps getting better and better.
AND this sim is only $20!
AND this sim has no DLC!

If you like train sims, you owe it to yourself to have this one in your library!
It's got a lot to offer and at this point, frankly, it's under-priced for what you get.

Note if the price goes up (Which it should) I'd still recommend this game, so if you're reading this in the future and it's not $20 anymore, don't let that sway you!
