But seriously, now that you mentioned it is like you desrcibed, enemies do disappear slower. They have a chance to say something before they parish. But wait! They can't. That's sad.. (not)

Just finished a replay of ToCS 1 a week prior to my original post, so the differences were glaringly obvious with the faster combat speed fresh in my mind.
For the record, I never encounter bug using turbo in battle. I did stumble upon minor bug in the field, but no crash or gamebreaking bug. I advise you to use the default turbo speed (x2 in field and x4 in battle, I think)
