In the campaign story, the randomness is not changed but the map has a finite number of objects, once found all you'll notice that the bar below the place will load in %, reached 100% you'll find all the objects and if you want to find more, you will have to reset the map using the appropriate button (not the savegame or campaign).
Instead the free map play is free, it resets itself every time you exit the map.
The treasures instead considered "exceptional", that you can find in the campaign story, those unfortunately will always have the same excavation point, because they are tied to the quest of the photo, until the devs will invent something.
