this does also mean that any content updates will take a long while i'd say we probably won't see any new content updates untill 2023 i can maby see them finishing up some unfinished content but anything new-new won't be coming out anytime soon and they have said that their in it for the long haul with security breach so there will be new content eventuality just not soon.
bruh
Updates cant and wont fix major parts of gameplay and story, you cant exactly just extend the daycare section easily with updates. Im getting tired of the "fix the bad parts of the game with DLC" DLC is supposed to add onto the good parts of gameplay and the good parts of narrative, not cover up the worst aspects of a game
1: they need to free up storage space, this game is around 50 GB (store page says 80 needed, mine took up 50). For a FNAF game? Really? Alien Isolation (Which has much better graphics, is longer, and is way more complex) is only 30 gb. Theres no way in hell this game should be anywhere above 30 GB.
2: You're nitpicking with this example that you give.
Fan service? I dont know man that afton ending pissed off quiteeee alot of people. I assume they will continue to update the game, but if you beat it seriously just move on. Theres no reason to keep playing unless DLC comes out later in the year
touch grass
ive heard this excuse again and again and again. I have never seen any proof that Steel Wool is understaffed. And the "large game, not enough workers to fix bugs" claim isnt true, many many many indie one man development teams are able to update their games almost every day, though yes it is important to state that many of these games im referring to are small and not as big as SB. Steel Wool made Help Wanted, which by all accounts is more impressive then SB, so why did Help Wanted have a smooth launch and SB didnt? I think they just lost care in the franchise.
Ehhhh bug fixes? definitely. New content in the form of DLC? perhaps at the end of 2022. Nobody can predict the future but I think one year after launch for DLC is a bit late.
well first of all it's says on their website in the about section they have about 20-ish employees no idea if that outdated a bit but that should be about what they have and saying that's not true requires you to provide proof that this statement about their employees isn't true and proving this is larger than the amount required to make security breach at steady pace requires you to provide more proof than one man devs were able to make their small games and a smaller game like help wanted is any indication they can take on something bigger like security breach.

second of all help wanted is not the same size as security breach in terms of work required and you might find it more impressive than security breach i don't personally but on the side of bugs and polish it's probably because of restricted creativity ie they had a schedule and knew what they could handle where as security breach was a over ambitious project that suffered from feature creep they couldn't handle due to scott eventuality making them stop and giving them a deadline that's also why there so much cut content as they just couldn't finish everything they had planned within the time frame as it's way too big of a game to handle with the deadlines they were given and with the amount of employees they have.

my point wasn't to predict when new dlc will come out im possible overestimating im just trying to make sure people aren't anticipating dlc to come out earlier because i want people to have realistic expectations or even lower than realistic expectation because people just don't seem to understand how long it takes to update a game and how many different variables come into how long it does take to update a game so you can think it might perhaps be at the end of 2022 but i would honestly put your expectation lower and say 2023 because it's just a safer bet and is way better for the devs and yourself as you ain't anticipating anything possible too soon even if it's just a prediction it still affects your anticipation.
I kind of wish that Steel Wool got the creative freedom to finish what they added. Some of that stuff was pretty dope.
I'm aware that dlc isn't coming out too soon. Trust me, I know the game is littered with bugs and those should be squashed before anything new comes out. I'm just wanting an update of some kind. Even if its just an update about a future update. They were posting like every month or less, but its going on two months now. With how many people are reporting game killing bugs, I think staying open would be helpful.
