and 2023 is honestly fairly close at this point

Do you think they'd share important infos with Funko this early? We don't even know when it's releasing in 2023 - it could very well be in December, which is pretty far.

I doubt the dlc will be as big as the base game, but heck sb merch was out months before sb, I'd know I bought the funko figures way before I bought SB.

So no it wouldn't be too odd for em to share info with funko
