Game won't launch. EDIT: fixed (needed DirectX 11.1 for my copy of Windows 7)

EDIT: Decided to read your sticky all the way to step 9 which addressed Direct X:

"DirectX 11.1 on Windows 7
If you are still running Windows 7, make sure that DirectX 11.1 is installed (and not just 11.0). It is not an automatic update. Search for the patch KB2670838"

That did the trick for me and fwiw my old dual core chip works pretty good with just 4 gigs of DDR2 and my decent GTX780 graphics card.

I can get to the pretty title screen just just fine but when I select New Game and the launcher starts it crashes.

My PC specs: Intel dual core E7300 (2 CPUs) @2.66Ghz, RAM: DDR2 4 gigs, vid card: GTX780 (3 gigs of vid mem)
Running windows 7 with service pack 1

I just installed Nvidia's latest driver for that card and that didn't work.

Went to my Nvidia control panel and then to manage 3d settings and restored all to default settings except for Power Management Mode which I set for Maximum Performance and that didn't work.

Tried running game as admiistrator, that didn't work.

Tried running game in Windows 7 compatibility mode and that didn't work.

I was thinking there might be a setting in the Nvidia control panel that might fix the problem. any suggestions on which setting I should play with to get this thing to launch?

So guys, any suggestions for the Nvidia control panel or maybe something else like some Unity thing i need to install or something?

Glad it's sorted. Yeah, this is only a problem on Windows 7, where this update is not applied automatically.
