HOTAS/Joystick support ?
Before I buy, just looks like a game I would want to play with joystick rather than controller.

Can inputs be mapped to any DirectX input device like Joystick ?

Or is one forced to use a controller or kbm only ?

Thanks for any who take time to reply.

oh that's a disappointment. do you mean the controls are not analog in any way?

I have not tried controller but if you are used to quality hotas or such its a big disappointment. Mouse can be used for turning but there is no analog as far as I can see.

controller works great in this game, Xbox one at least.

I played with an XBone and a Steam controller, and both were great. If you have a hotas that has software to combine them into one virtual device, and you know how to customize it, you could make it work...kind of.

Since there's not traditional roll/pitch/yaw in this game, it'd still be pretty bad. I hope they add a traditional flight model as an option.

Man, if they made random taxi jobs for an endless mode, 1st person cockpit, and VR support, I'd just pin some netflix to the dash and drive forever!

i couldnt get my ps4 controller to work. steam recognises it but the game does not pick it up.

Thanks for this, yes I'm familiar with the necessary software to make this work.

And also agreed for the rest of your post: that's kind of what I'm looking for, for a relaxing drive on those nights that don't feel like shooting or micromanaging much. Floaty space drive in sci-fi settings is a plus. Too bad to learn about the lack of pitch/yaw/roll controls!

Well there is VR via mod and also first person cockpit now so maybe it's time to give it a try.
