This on VorpX of course, so not full-fledged VR but geometry 3D on a giant screen in front of you. But still, the immersion factor is off the chart. I can only imagine how good it's gonna be with full VR support.
Indeed, native VR support would be awesome, but until then ...
Do you mind elaborating what kind of "minor tweeks" you felt were necessary?
My personal experience with vorpx - avoid it if your main goal is 3D, anything stereoscopic 3D. It's mostly for transforming pancake gaming into a perspective-modified vr experience. If you want real 3D, invest in real 3D hardware - they are still out there. The vorpx 3D pales in comparison to nvidia 3D vision stereoscopic effects on genuine dedicated 3D hardware.
That said, I've played Cloudpunk with nvidia 3D vision on real 3D hardware and it looks great on a 65" screen 14' away. Now I have to try it out in vorpx to see what the fuss here is about.

Great video. No VorpX config file which removes all the confusing menus available yet?
Come back and let us all know how well it works with the overly complicated vorpx menus. I have vorpx, only tried it out for 1 or 2 games so it hasn't quite justified the $40 price.
If you wanted community support on making the VR bit, I think they'd be more than willing to help. Personally, I can't say I'm an expert game developer but I have some development experience. If there is a way to integrate 3rd party code, perhaps as a mod or anything, let us know!
Did you try it yet? VorpX isnt ideal. A built in VR option would be awesome.
