This game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ amazing in VR
Just tried it with VorpX and oh my god is it immersive. You just go 'wow...' when you fly pass these neon-lit sky scrappers in virtual reality. There's already a profile there and it works great with minimal tweak. If dev is reading this, please consider official VR support in future!

Wow, cool I'd love to experience this. Time to get a VR set. Which set did you use and what was the framerate? Your system specs?

I'm using an Oculus Rift on a gtx 2080 and Ryzen 2700 with 32gb ram. In VR, I did have to lower the in game setting to 'High' quality and 1920x1080 resolution. Framerate is about 50 which works fine for me with occasional stutter.

This on VorpX of course, so not full-fledged VR but geometry 3D on a giant screen in front of you. But still, the immersion factor is off the chart. I can only imagine how good it's gonna be with full VR support.

Looks absolutely wonderful, has that feel of late 90's early 2000s sci-fi sceneries like 5th Element and Phatom Menace, good memories will check it out later. Great work team!

I consider buying vorpx just based on the experience you shared here.

Indeed, native VR support would be awesome, but until then ...

Do you mind elaborating what kind of "minor tweeks" you felt were necessary?

My personal experience with vorpx - avoid it if your main goal is 3D, anything stereoscopic 3D. It's mostly for transforming pancake gaming into a perspective-modified vr experience. If you want real 3D, invest in real 3D hardware - they are still out there. The vorpx 3D pales in comparison to nvidia 3D vision stereoscopic effects on genuine dedicated 3D hardware.

That said, I've played Cloudpunk with nvidia 3D vision on real 3D hardware and it looks great on a 65" screen 14' away. Now I have to try it out in vorpx to see what the fuss here is about.

I haven't found a profile that's already made for Cloudpunk, do you have a link? Also like someone else asked, what settings did you tweak? I'd like to check it out.

Hi. I made a profile for Cloudpunk in VorpX, and I made a video showing how to get it running and some general tips and tricks when playing Cloudpunk in VR.

Great video. No VorpX config file which removes all the confusing menus available yet?

I must try this, especially after playing that "Aircar" which was little more then a demo, but had me thinking, imagine a full fledged game like this

Come back and let us all know how well it works with the overly complicated vorpx menus. I have vorpx, only tried it out for 1 or 2 games so it hasn't quite justified the $40 price.

Every time I revisit this game I find myself looking for some way to stick myself virtually into the cockpit. I want to VR sim this game SOOOO bad, but vorpx will simply not cut it for me. I'm hoping someone makes a game JUST like this one for VR. I will buy it instantly.

Is it strange to have fantasies about landing my Hova with my head between my legs? Those floor windows would be so spicy....

If you wanted community support on making the VR bit, I think they'd be more than willing to help. Personally, I can't say I'm an expert game developer but I have some development experience. If there is a way to integrate 3rd party code, perhaps as a mod or anything, let us know!

Did you try it yet? VorpX isnt ideal. A built in VR option would be awesome.
Is this a Unreal Engine Game? If so Praydog's UE injector would work great, another to the list if so
