Bug? stuck at spire

I got to the part where you have to deliver to the spire, and it gave me the option to go to the lift back down, or pull a prank first, so I chose the prank. The game saved there, but then crashed. So I loaded it back up, and now I'm at the spire, the prank already done, but no lift to ride back down, so nothing I can trigger other than talk to a merchant. Am I boned? Is there any way to revert to the previous save without restarting my whole game?

Yeah... without a means of calling the lift or loading a previous save point, I'm stuck. Game-breaking bug 4 hours in...

Yeah would love a load previous save too. NPC got me boxed in and stuck....
