Controller stops and starts working while playing Cloudpunk
I use an aftermarket controller for the PC, works on all other games I've played, but I've just started Cloudpunk and the game stops responding to my inputs for 10 - 15 seconds or so and starts again. I am moving about and then the character just stops and to start it again sometimes I have to bring up the pause menu.

I'm not sure if its an issue with the specific controller but I just opened Dark Souls and ran around without it doing the same thing in that game, so its only an issue within Cloudpunk but not sure if its a compatibility issue with the aftermarket controller or another issue?

Nope, no problems here. I'm using a wireless xbox one controller over bluetooth.

Think its just with this after market controller then.

Playing with a EasySMX wired controller. Encounter the same problem, no stick or button response. Pop in out of menu helps.

It happened to me too, I'm playing with a SteelSeries Stratus Duo and I've tried it over bluetooth and 2.4 GHz wireless. I even noticed it in the menus, it doesn't accept inputs from my D-pad most of time. I haven't tried it wired yet, but it sounds like that may not work either.

Sounds like some (or all?) aftermarket controllers have issues then. Hope it's an issue that can be fixed as I cant afford an Xbox controller atm ha

Same here with wired XBox 360 controller. Only the start button is doing something

Xbox one controller wireless, same problem, losing control every 20sec or so... First thought my controller was out of batteries...but nope..

No problem with keyboard/mouse (although the mouse behave weirdly but maybe that's just me not used to the camera controls)

Running on I5-6600k, GTX 970, Win7 64bits

same problem for me : wired xbox 360 controller : only start and back buttons are operating.

The problem is related to other joystick controllers :
I had :
- id1 : xbox 360
- id2 : teensy (custom joystick for flight sim)
- id4 : vjoy (unused here but loaded)

If I remove the teensy controller, xbox 360 controller works fine in game

If I change Ids to theses (with a soft like joyids) :
- id2: teensy
- id4: vjoy
- id16: xbox 360
the controller works fine in game for a few seconds only

It seems that your controller needs to be alone to work in game

hope it helps

Oh really, I put all my games on a Samsung T5 as my internal drive is only 500GB, that's the only external USB device I have connected other than my controller and it's via USB-C.

I'll try moving the game to the internal drive and see if it works with nothing connected.

Yeah, you can try that. it´s worth a try.

In my case, i had my "Fanatec pedals" for sim racing plugged in. And after disconnect them the gamepad works fine.

Good luck =)

Only have the game controller plugged in, hasn't changed it on my system. Really strange.

I have only the controller (wired, USB) plugged-in and my controls cut in and out, randomly. :-(
