I guess that was a quick fix and this thread can be closed.

Absolutely not, VorpX is ok-ish, but NOT a solution. The support should be native, so we can have an unlocked camera. Without it's only half-complete VR integration.

I tried it with the beta version and over a week ago (so memory isn't fresh). But it was with the new free camera. Btw I'm not proficient with vorpX, I used the profile mentioned above, and changed it slightly for geometry 3D mode.
The "Immersive screen" was more practical, as I could see the whole screen including UI elements by looking around, but it was "only" a big curved 2D screen in VR space.
"Geometry 3D" was, well more immersive as it was in 3D, and using mouse look from the HMD made it kind of natural. Except that you swivel around the character or vehicle as you turn your head, instead of only turning your head. And you have to combine it with the mouse anyway, unless you want to actually turn around when turning around in-game.
(I think, ideally I'd like to just turn my head in-place, while using the mouse (or maybe a controller) to "swivel around" the character / vehicle, just as it is now in the beta version. Perhaps relative to vehicle / character direction, so as to not be required to correct the view with the mouse when turning - just a thought).
But I couldn't see all the UI elements, Inventory screen or minimap in this mode, requiring me to switch to "immersive screen" when needed, which makes it cumbersome.
Ofc it's vorpX, not ideal but kind of workable. But definately cool! You really get a new perspective of the city (which sounds self evident, I'm just not sure how to describe it.. you kind of have to experience it :) ).
(and why not a cockpit view ??? :-)
For work and test maybe Index will be the best.
I have oculus rift S to play and so good.
At the end the pc config is the most important (gpu)
