VR Support?
This seems like it would be great for VR, with the cyberpunk aesthetic, beautiful scenery all around, & sense of scale and distance. It also seems like it would work well in 3rd person & controller based.

Are you planning on adding VR support?

VorpX now has a profile for Cloudpunk. (And I was the first download! 🥳)

Looks nice, especially when you're flying in traffic, but the game is about fixed camera positioning. Whilst there is an option to unlock the camera by pressing (x), it will return to fixed view if your HOVA accelerates.

In reality, you're getting at best immersive mode currently.

Still very cool to look at. If CloudPunk is able to have a permanent unlocked camera, you'd have a good time in it. Though if that was to happen, it currently has a slow smooth motion associated with it, like a one second delay, which will feel unnatural, and the reflections will make your eyes hurt.
Let me know if you have any issue with the profile. The only thing I forgot are the characters portrays that do not rescale with the HUD, but the rest should work just fine.

Great news for the curious people in here.
I guess that was a quick fix and this thread can be closed.

Absolutely not, VorpX is ok-ish, but NOT a solution. The support should be native, so we can have an unlocked camera. Without it's only half-complete VR integration.

They are working on some other stuff right now, which is understandable, of course, since the game just released.

But why? when is top down third person?
Some of the best VR games aren't directly first person. Games like Moss or GNOG are great and immersive because you see this virtual world before you and you can easily get lost in it. My favorite VR stuff so far is mostly atmospheric.

Pretty cool trying it out with vorpX, but I'm not sure I'd play through it like that I have to say. Maybe if it gets native support.

I tried it with the beta version and over a week ago (so memory isn't fresh). But it was with the new free camera. Btw I'm not proficient with vorpX, I used the profile mentioned above, and changed it slightly for geometry 3D mode.

The "Immersive screen" was more practical, as I could see the whole screen including UI elements by looking around, but it was "only" a big curved 2D screen in VR space.

"Geometry 3D" was, well more immersive as it was in 3D, and using mouse look from the HMD made it kind of natural. Except that you swivel around the character or vehicle as you turn your head, instead of only turning your head. And you have to combine it with the mouse anyway, unless you want to actually turn around when turning around in-game.

(I think, ideally I'd like to just turn my head in-place, while using the mouse (or maybe a controller) to "swivel around" the character / vehicle, just as it is now in the beta version. Perhaps relative to vehicle / character direction, so as to not be required to correct the view with the mouse when turning - just a thought).

But I couldn't see all the UI elements, Inventory screen or minimap in this mode, requiring me to switch to "immersive screen" when needed, which makes it cumbersome.

Ofc it's vorpX, not ideal but kind of workable. But definately cool! You really get a new perspective of the city (which sounds self evident, I'm just not sure how to describe it.. you kind of have to experience it :) ).

Hello, this game seems super good to me, so to support the Devs, I will buy it right away, but like a lot of message above, if I buy it is also to ask for native support in virtual reality. Thank you

Once this gets VR support I'll be throwing my money at the screen. There isn't enough cyberpunk VR content out there.

The initial release will be without VR. But I will look into the feasibility of VR afterwards. It all depends on how the launch goes.
id buy this straightaway if it was fully first person, and even more so if it was vr

For work and test maybe Index will be the best.
I have oculus rift S to play and so good.
At the end the pc config is the most important (gpu)
