How does it compare to modded HoI4?
I’m looking for a realistic and complex simulator of the cold war, slow-paced and full of options, like a well-modded HoI4. Is TC something like that? It does look somewhat arcade-y.

EDIT: Also, how does it depict economics? Crisis in the Kremlin does an alright job at portraying how dysfunctional Soviet economy was and how hard it could be hit by shifting oil prices and losing its economic partners.

While I am not GFK, I will try to answer myself. I think that you are describing East vs West. The scope here is not as vast here, if it was an attempt to directly ressurect EvW it would probably not have been finished at this point. At the same time if things go well it could possibly offer the team to actually do a more complex cold war game.

Economics are simply a related to your interest level. You don't have a GDP calculator, debt management or anything like that. Because Mirvin has been built to predict GLOBAL THERMONUCLEAR WAR instead of the economic growth of the USSR. Actually on a more personnal level simulating the Soviet efficiency with all its inefficencies and doctored statistics is quite difficult to do. In the game it's just shown by the USSR starting with low finance and low people.
