It's an MMO so probably won't be able to support content mods.

Ah fair point, forgot about that stuff.

There are online-only games that support MODs, they just need to make server files available for player hosting.

Well this isn't that kind online-only, this is running on MMO server with crossplatform playing support.

Doesn't really change a thing. If you want to crossplay, don't play with mods. Modding on console is very limited anyway.

It's hard to not crossplay when it gonna be core feature...

Yeah I don't think they should allow content from other franchises. It's the same genre of games, but this isn't pokémon nor should it turn into it.

Let them make their own world, own monsters etc without relying on Pokémon. Pokémon has had years, the chance to make something like this. They never did.

I doubt it'll happen but I hope they'll crush the pokémon franchise.
could have mods for decor items in your house... (sry for necro)

do you know Copyright laws? or How greedy Nintendo is in attacking or suing everything they can get their corporate claws on.

Then why Pokemon mod for Ark or Gary's Mod didn't get copyright laws?

Copyright laws don't apply to fan mods made by consumers.
If the game devs made a Bulbasaur into their games, then it's a copyright infringement because they are making profit out of another company work.

Well this is MMORPG with turn based combat so only way to get it in is by Developer puts it into it. We can just wish that Nintendo and Crema Games do Pokemon themed Crossover event in future.

Nintendo hunted down all the Emulator rom sites and basically ruined that.
They also constantly harass people on youtube for uploading old game music.
And attack creators who review their games, or have music of the games at all.
they are disgusting people over at nintendo.
iam all for rights or whatever, but also the preservation of games and game music.
But nintendo will leak out 1 game from the 1000's they own whenever they feel like.
and its obnoxious. like the 20 games on the Snes Classic. with 1000's out there we love.
They could have easily just made the Snes Classic have at least 64GB of space and then give it access to the internet with every Nintendon Rom game ever. on 1 console.
you just pay 3.99 or something for each one you want.

Piracy is illegal and different than modding.

They also sent a C&D to the original Pixelmon team; and that's entirely just a Minecraft mod. A big one, but still a mod. They also take down fangames on occasion because they're concerned that they'd somehow interfere with game sales or something along those lines iirc. It'd likely be at risk only if both TemTem and the pokemon-related mod are incredibly popular, as both Pixelmon and the removed fangames (such as Uranium) only got demands for removal when extremely popular...And also around when a new game was coming out :p

well im not sure if Mods is a good idea.

The only realistic way mods could be in this game is as Textur-Mods only possible to see by the user. (Like Textur-Mods in Minecraft)
