Log in and no control

So this has happened twice now and I'm starting to think it's an ongoing thing. When I log in to the game, select my character, I find myself standing there. Brand new character, first log in. Camera is right against my face and I can't move. Can't even press ESC to bring up the menu. I can aim and fire, but I can't even move my cursor. Just aim and fire straight across the police station lobby. The first time was on my old character and I thought it might have just been a glitch, but no, same thing with him.

Not sure what this issue is, but it's not a fun one. Having to Alt-F4 out of the game and come back is just.. troublesome. I hope there is a fix, either existing or planned.

Update: It's been 3 times just as of today where I log in and have no control. I can swing my pickaxe, but literally nothing else. The bug is getting worse.

So for the future in case someone else has this issue, what resolved the issue for me is unplugging my gamepad. For some reason the gamepad and keyboard were cancelling each other out and forcing an ALT+F4 to shut the game down and permit PC control. If you are having the same problem, one solution is to try unplugging any other devices that you can have your control switch to, such as a gamepad or joystick.
