Hacking Skill???

Ok so what exactly is Hacking for? I had Hacking V a while ago, before I did a Skill Reset, so I had +50% Hack Chance, but Hack Chance for what exactly? What is there to hack? It never worked on puzzle boxes or anything at all, so what is it for?

Blaze Shadowflame has Dead Frontier 2

Hacking is for the raid dungeon secronom labs. It has electronic doors so normal lockpicking won't do anything.

I haven't gotten that far myself, but i have looked it up. Apparently, you need to find a key in Comer and Son which will unlock Nix Mansion, and there you can find an eyeball that opens the labs.
