go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Dead Frontier 2
Then right click on the exe, select properties.
And under the compatibility menu, select the "run as administrator" box.
Now, there may be conflicting software you're running on your machine which is preventing the game from loading. Known problem software with Unity games include, but are not limited to the following:
• Nahimic
• FMOD
• Citrix
• Strix
• Aegis 3
• Sonic Studio
• RivaTuner Statistics Server
• Apple/Quicktime products (including "Bonjour")
• Portrait Displays\Pivot Software
• ReShade
• Fresco Logic USB graphics driver
If you use any of the aforementioned software, please let me know and we can go from there. Otherwise, there are a few things you can do...
1) If you have an Nvidia card/GPU on your machine, try disabling V-Sync or Anti-Aliasing. That will be located in the Nvidia Control Panel under "Manage 3d Settings".
2) Go into Windows Control Panel >> Device Manager >> Display adapter. Make sure you have one device listed there. If you see 2 devices, disable one or the other and try launching the game via your Steam client.
3) Go here[www.techpowerup.com] and download the Visual C++ Redistributable all-in-one runtime pack from a mirror site closest to you. Extract the files to a temporary folder (which you can delete later) and run the included "install_all.bat" file.
4) As a last resort, do a file verification to make sure none of the game's files are corrupt. To do this, go into your Steam Library, right click on the game (in the left pane), select "Properties", "Installed Files", "Verify Integrity of Game Files".
