I will admit that anyon with children or babies will struggle with this game's constant sap effect even in safe havens.

sorry mate, this is dead frontier, players who is veteran or either from that communities have to deal with absoulte following the rules of the game provied. If it is own game sure you can turn it off like fallout games, but this is pretty much out anyone's hand, basically the dev wanted this and players who play long time ago still wanted this the fact this show how cruel the players can be to each other in other words aka its a doggy eat dogs world.

no its a log out when at trading hub world and still doing the basic same concept im just asking to not have to log out to stop it not shure how having to log out just to do something is a fun gameplay mechanic eaather way im gunna make it stop im just asking to not have to log out to do it

If you think about it, forcing a player to log out to prevent food/water loss especially if they are afk for an extended period of time would decrease server load?

As far as I remember, you didn't lose hunger in outpost in Df1, but my memory is spotty. In any case, hunger couldn't kill you in Df1, just an exp bonus.

Ah, thank you. I didn't really remember losing it when home, but I realized I only ever half paid attention, since I'd usually wait and eat whenever I got to my grind/loot area.

lol np but yeah you lose less hunger from sitting in an outpost. If you logged out it stopped entirely till you logged back in
i would still be fine if it was like that and you lost 1/10th that would make it barible at least

Yeah.. because of this I can't read 'book' items with enough time.

Oh man, I second this for sure. Reading a book, storing things in your stash and even buying or selling items all needs to be done with this unecessary haste, because you know you're just sitting there, slowly going hungry or thirsty.

or instead of totally stopping it, they could make food/water consumption 1/10th of when moving.
this way standing still consumes much less energy than running around.

It would be nice and I think even in DF1 you didn't starve or get dehydrated while at an outpost. It does seem to go at a very slow rate though which honestly I think is just everyone nitpicking. It's really fine the way it is and at the rate it goes it would basically take half a day to even have to eat/drink if you were just to sit in there.
