Dead Frontier 2

Dead Frontier 2

I dislike the camera angle, is there first person?
Good examples of third person are pubg, and sniper elite, in which the camera doesn’t inhibit game play. The camera angle will occasionally make spotting crawling zombies hard, and I really don’t like how it seems centered at the bottom right

Congratulations! You just became the first toxic reply! Non constructive comment with a tinge of sarcasm, how wonderful!
How about you leave my forum post for 2 years or cry cause you’re literally useless in answering my question
Congratulations! You're second! :steamhappy:

Anyways, this isn't a FPS, so it shouldn't have an FPS view. It's fine the way it is, it's just not the game for you obviously.

edit: cause i cant spell

No. First person view would make game harder. You must learn to be more flesible with looking around.
I disagree. 1st person would make it easier. Especially fighting in such close quarters inside buildings. Not to mention killing worms would be so much easier :) Of course having the option to switch from 1st to 3rd would be amazing :)
I disagree. It woldn't make it easier, becaouse you wouldn't be able to look backwords when some worm is aproching you during for example looting. Worms won't be such problem when they will get theirs specific sound when they are born.

1st person perspective makes zombie games easier IMO. Look at No More Room In Hell - first person really suits the game and improves combat system & adds more realism to it. Dying light zombie parkour game shows that first person is much better during zombie horde chases as well.

Don’t side with him, he’s literally crapposting. Also I don’t care if it’s not an FPS game, I’d just like an FPS option. It would make melee battles and shooting zombies easier for me. In the third person there is a slight depth issue. This means that I can’t get spacing for attacks right sometimes, and that’s very annoying.

True, also FPP would finally force the dev to add a backpedal movement mechanic, which would make both close-quarter combat & shooting much more stable IMO

There is a specific sound when they spawn. Idk what game you are playing. Believe me i have over 200 hours. Also you didnt see me mention that having the option to switch from 1st to 3rd would be amazing. Also i said having the option to switch from 1st to 3rd would be amazing. I was not talking solely 1st person. Please read all before responding :)

Ok. So read with understandig too. I wrote that FP wouldn't make fighting with worms easier. If you want it ok, so ask dev to make it, but don't implay that it would for sure make something easier.
I have 300 hours of play, so according to your logic, agree with me and don't respond, just short "You are right"... because you know 300 hours.

Third person camera is not a bad thing. But I do really got annoyed by the camera's angle. When you get close to wall or something then it will zoom in and you will miscalculate the distance between you and zomebies so you would miss swing.

I’m not against the concept of third person, I listed games with good implementation of third person in them. I’m just stating that I want a first person mode or a better camera angle for third person.

Like Doge noticed FP would have to have diffrent machanic of movment, so it is low probabilyty that it will happen in near future.

Implementing something like first-person would take up so much time. Checklist of things to do..

• First person models of all the weapons and clothing in the game.
• Animations for melee and guns. Recoil, reloads, melee swings and swapping weapons.
• First person arms.
• Creating a new camera system from scratch.
• Probably way more I'm missing. I'm not a game developer.

Something like this would take months even for a full-size dev team. I'd much rather see more integral fixes and content. Honestly doubt we will ever see first person.

Quoted from the dev blog,

Updates Coming Soon
To sum everything above up, here is what I'm planning to add in the very near future:

Mini random outdoor events like bosses and hordes
A dedicated outdoor pvp zone
An automap
Market redesign
Small UI qol improvements
Small mission improvements
Cash sink(s)
Bug fixes! (as always)

Updates Coming Not Quite So Soon
After the above are complete, I will mostly like move on to Outpost Attacks and the first content update :)

I have a bad feeling about hackers coming to pvp, hackers breaking the market, and toxic people coming when this game gets better. Before he decides to put in pvp, he needs some anti cheat

Funny how this game is 3rd view but it makes shots center of screen...like WTF. if someone blocks your crosshair EVEN THEY ARE BEHIND YOU they will block the shot.
There's a purpose for this. By centering the bullet to the crosshair, it will negate any chances of your shot missing due to the angle of your character to the enemy. While it can cause problems if something gets in your way behind, that is a miniscule chance, and it is a very good system for 3rd person.

That's not true.

1) Having the camera slightly to the side will avoid the camera getting too close to you.
There is a reason why 90% of 3* person shooters use this formula...
And since when this is an issue? It's easyer to adapt to that than the wonky camera of this game.
I don't remember EVER having problems aiming in RE4 or Dead Space on the other hand with some practice you can become a sharpshooter god in those games thx to the camera mechanics.
Plus this game still has the bug that if the camera is too close to your chara you'll miss melee hits making you pass through zombies.

2) Something gets behind you CONSTANTLY in this game:
-Every time you enter a door.
-Enemies.
-Walls when you're cornered.
-Tall furniture (like wardrobes or tall lamps).

I grew accostumed to those issues but that doesn't remove em from the game, i just adapted to it, so saying "the game works well like this" means that you're ignoring the elephant in the room (it's probably standing too close behind you xP)
