Sprinter V or Jogger V?
Sprint fast like Sanic.exe or jog? (there was +25% jog speed event and it wasn't as fast as Sprinter V could be)

Sprint is dependant on other factors, sprint duration, and cool down, while jog is consistent

you probably didnt even have any jog or it was so small for you to notice the speed event over Sprinter

you would need 45 to 60 for regular Roids and Tendrils - 80 and above for B Tend and B Roids

Left and Overhead Roids can be outrun with 0 jog - Right Hooks are equal to B Tend

Both Sprinter and Jogger require alot of investment[+gear +skills] especially if you want to take down the B's

Sprinter can run out and needs management , Jog does not

invest into either - either go 80 jog or dont bother with it at all

for Sprinter i'd say you'd need about 60 sprint speed and 80 sprint duration to be able to outrun a Right hook B Roids

you could combine both but sprinter+jog gear is mythically rare. so jog and sprinter gear is somewhat more common but pricy

take your pick

true, I have a superior fireaxe that gives me like +9% sprint duration, so im planning to go for sprinter V

80 jog? that's quite a lot - I've never fought bloody bosses, so they must be really fast if you need to be that fast.. I have sprinter 2 and im probably going to get sprinter V because I have buffs for sprint in my EQ

jogg is good for overall consistency but sprinter is a must if you really really need to outrun something. There are times when sprinter is needed vs dodge kick or jogg.

Usually people recommend lvl 1 sprinter at least for the ability to sprint and stack up the sprint speed to be able to outrun anything in a moment's notice.

Jog past 35% is all you need to outrun a juggernaut (non-bloody) and i think 45% for a tendril (non-bloody as well).

Still the more the merrier.

also strange i found a pair of boots with like 12% sprint speed and 10% jogg so they'd probably fetch a high price.
yeah, sprinter can really get you out of sticky situations and dodge 1 is also helpful (avoids all attacks for like 1 second - including vomits)
I've never fought bloody bosses and I already am afraid of non-bloody titans and tendrils - I dont fight them solo, so bloody boss must be a nightmare (but the loot must be good, I assume)

go for Jogger V and sprint 1

Get at least jog 40-50 and bam, all bosses are in your hands except bloody titan and tendril, those two are running at mach 5 speed

73% jog here with jogger 4 although I still can lvl up for it so consider it 78%
With this speed you can easy outrun everything without getting touch

Oh, well I've already gone for sprinter, but there is still prestige option waiting to be pressed!

if so - perhaps I will get that after getting the prestige, thanks!

I still wonder if sprinter can be faster than jogger - but nevertheless thanks for the info!

-yeah no worries. Also sprinter can be as fast as jogger but not as long due to sprint duration being a thing

-it's the standard for boss hunts along with i think dodge

-it can be as fast but again the duration is a problem

also in general sprint items (speed duration and cooldown) are 10X more easier to get/loot/find than jogg % stat items past 9%
yeah, my superior fireaxe gives me like +9% sprint duration and elite leather shoes (lvl 5?) give me sprint speed, duration and cooldown - I can confirm jog speed is more rare than sprint buffs

Tested it out. Turns out no sprint speed with high jogg can actually lower your speed lol.

Sucks that jogg speed doesnt't factor into sprint speed. But then again learning to crouch in-game or pick a lock via a skill doesn't make sense either.
lol so you are better off by getting one of the skills to V tier
then again this game is still not really finished, there are many things to be updated, I hope Neil can get some professional backup to help him with development

I have one character that doesn't have sprint, and uses Jogger + jogging clothes, and one character that has sprinter skills, but jogging clothes. Neither get to jogger/sprinter 5... it's really not necessary to have this really high unless you want to solo tendrils religiously. I've killed tendrils and roid hulks with groups somewhere around 15 percent jog, or even lower. Both skills are pretty important in their own right. Do note that you can get to a point where jog is actually faster than or the same/similar speed to sprint so it becomes useless. All about the balance

pretty much (though i don't wanna use jogg items 24/7 so i got both)

and agree

in DF1 you had sprint and regular walk speed. Sprint was affected by your overall jogg/run speed

but in here jogg is standalone while sprint relies on speed and duration (old DF1 system)

sprint is better with dodge for that extra sprint meter save or attack save. Doesn't mean it can't work with jogg but overall the jogg is enough if you keep moving to avoid bosses.

For jogg it's better to have knockback % distance and duration % items for weapons so you can have bosses stumble back and give you a few feet of space between you.
fighting bosses with melee is dangerous, especially considering the fact they were buffed (more health and more dmg, but higher XP) and knockback distance isn't really that useful when you can go for hunter V and get like +40% dmg against bosses

well, I dont fight tendrils and hulks solo cuz they are too fast, deadlier and have more HP. If you are grinding and you want to get some quick XP, get +40% XP buff from OA Guardian and hunt lvl 10-15 bosses : killing fingers, choir and mothers gives you like 1,4k XP per boss with +40% XP buff
Then again - I dont know how much XP tendrils and hulks give - but I assume you are better off fighting them in groups, not solo. Jog can be faster than sprint? that's quite weird, it all depends from your items and their % buffs

probably should've specified b/c knockback and weapon stun are 2 different things (i think melees have knockback and all other weapons have stun).

but jogg is overall but you gotta keep using it while sprinter is in the moment. You go slightly faster with high enough item stats but it's not sustainable sadly so you gotta time it and use your sprint wisely
oh - well melee build is nice when u are planning to get melee expert V with some nice equipment buffs (some person on lvl 30 had a sledgehammer and he has stated he kills most zombies in lvl 25-30 zones with 1-2 hits : that's really good)

If you aren't planning on fighting tendrils and roids solo, you can just use sprinter 2 and get a total of 10-20% jog on clothes and save the rest of your levels for more important things. No sense going up to 5 on either in that case

Yeah, I've noticed sprinter 1 with some cloth buffs can deal with choir, fingers and mothers (+ 1 dodge to avoid enemy vomits, boss attacks and cancel animation) - im better off spending points in exterminator V (+25% against infected) and hunter V (+40% dmg against bosses), thanks!

getting 5 on either still helps get things done quicker though. But i somewhat agree they're pretty useless if you're not fighting tendrils or juggernauts.

Still

It's pretty bland without the speed boosts.

Once you go full nelson on both of them either with mach speed or things like 100% headshot / mutant or both damage (and dodge i guess works for this case) you don't go back.
That and it just doesn't feel fulfilling if you don't kill your first bloody roid hulk/tendril. Same as in DF1 when you killed your first black titan/burning black titan/devil hound. Or better yet your first big boss or titan or burning titan as a milestone then your first wraith or giant spider.
There are milestones that need to be passed and since bosses are the final endgame in both games you sorta should invest in one or the other.
Sadly jogg is the new speed machine while sprinter is sorta like the past DF1 styled speed (where you had both duration and running speed). In other words sprinter relies on both while jogg is standalone (i really don't know how to put it into words).

side usefulness

They also help get ♥♥♥♥ done quicker (especially missions).
You can also get Sprinter 1 and enjoy buffs from items you acquire - for example, having like +20% speed duration, speed and cooldown from elite boots can really help and you dont have to spend more points on Sprinter skill if you dont plan on killing hulks and tendrils
