(solved) Game crashes upon opening

Hello! I couldn't find anyone else reporting this issue, but I'm really hoping someone can help me with it.

This game crashes for me a few seconds after opening. It takes about 3 seconds, doesn't even open a window before it "quits unexpectedly". I realized today that I'm having this issue with all of the Rusty Lake games that I try to open on this computer. (I tested Paradise, Samsara Room, Hotel and Roots). I'm not having this issue with any other games in my Library.

Here are my specs:

MacOS Mojave 10.14.6
MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2012)
Processor: 2.9 GHz Intel Core i7
Memory: 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 4000 1536 MB

Any help would be appreciated!

I'm having the exact same issue. Similar specs, identical games. The other games are work fine.

Also, as an update, I just bought The White Door and it has the same problem.

i'm having the same issue with Macbookpro M1

Having the same problem (also on Mac). For me, it extends to the Cube Escape games too. I get the following crash report, or something similar, when launching any of the aforementioned games.

Termination Reason: DYLD, [0x9] <unknown>
Dyld Error Message:
can't resolve symbol _SteamAPI_Init in /Users/(my name)/Library/Application Support/Steam/steamapps/common/Rusty Lake Hotel/RustyLakeHotel.app/Contents/Resources/META-INF/AIR/extensions/com.amanitadesign.steam.FRESteamWorks/META-INF/ANE/MacOS-x86-64/FRESteamWorks.framework/FRESteamWorks because dependent dylib @loader_path/libsteam_api.dylib could not be loaded

Can post more of the error message if needed, but I think this is the important bit.
