Game won't start on a DisplayPort connected display.
My monior is connected through DisplayPort, and will crash once i open it. If i disconnect it, then start the game, it will load just fine, then i can recconect the display, and it'll run just fine. That's a alot of effort, just to run the game, on my main display. This seems to be a Capcom thing, because DMC4 SE, did the exact thing. Capcom tends to neglect PC launches, post launch, so will this something to deal with forever, or can a fix be expected soon?

Has the same issue, I'm waiting for Capcom to fix this.

So, i just found out the games can start while a Displayport display is connected, as long as it's not set as the main monitor. Found that out when starting the game, and forgetting to disconnect my DP monior, after making an HDMI monitor the main display. Still waiting for the fix, so i don't have to do any of that, when starting the game.

For those with a problem with the steam version. Capcom US has an official steam account and they have created topics to report problems.

Go report your problem here and follow the instructions:

For Mega Man X Legacy Collection =>

That's all well and good, but...

1. We know this. It's nothing new. It's been there since release day.

2. That Capcom US account hasn't replied to ANYTHING.

3. People have had to find their own workarounds because Capcom isn't listening at all.

Just to throw it out here, I use DVI-D single link plugged into a DVI-D (or DVI-I) dual link display.
No boot issues on my end, or crashes, but all games run sub-optimal in speed.

yeah i have emailed capcom multiple times over this damn game, its the same ♥♥♥♥ when u call your ISP tech support "turn ur modem off" "unplug it" etc.. Except with capcom they had me try to verify the specs of my PC multiple times. If my specs are good enough to run todays AAA games then i should definately be okay for this. and then they tried saying that i needed to get a different monitor. You dumb mother ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ at capcom, i have paid top dollar for this monitor to have 1440p g-sync, 1ms response time 165hz you think im going to switch my expensive ass monitor out just to play this one game? i have over 220 games in my steam library that work great with it. hell even the original Mega Man Legacy collection works fine, so if you guys cant make a game that can work with today's tech, then why even bother releasing it? ♥♥♥♥ the X legacy collection works fine with it but i have to unplug it before launching, why would i have to put such a strain on my monitor for this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game? ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dumbasses at CrapCom you guys need to fix this, its long over due.

Go to the config file and change the refresh rate to 60. That'll fix that.

Get a refund, capcom has no intention to patch it
Godlyman Aug 8, 2018 @ 10:46am
I endded up requested for a refund for both Megaman X collections. The requests got approved in less than an hour. I advise you do the same. You can always buy it again once the issue get fixed.
