Can't use Hornet's ride armor

So i've been trying to get the subtank from the volt catfish stage, but for some reason i can't summon the Ride Armor. I did beat the rhino guy, went to the hornet's stage and got the ride armor, but when i step on the golden plataform that summons it, i select the N armor, but nothing happens. Am i doing something wrong or is it some kind of bug?

after selecting the ride armor You must press the attack button to comfirm it, or the ride armor won't show up
