Some of the later games do have obvious grind spots though, and they can help
Maybe for you, but the difficulty spike in Sigma's fortress still feels insane to me.
Of course, it wouldn't feel so punishing if the save system actually let you save your progress after you beat each stage, instead of forcing you to play the whole Sigma fortress in one sitting. All the classic Mega Man legacy collections have a save system implemented on them, would've been so hard to do the same in here?
But yeah, X2 and X3 are much harder, and the problem is very noticeable there.
I was aware of the saving progress system being rebooted on Sigma's Fortress in X1 back in the day, but I honestly hoped they fixed that for this Legacy Collection. And oh, surprise, nope they didn't.
So, my only choice if I want to see the end of this game is to look for other alternatives that let me save my progress, because I'm not feeling like dedicating a whole afternoon to a non-stop boss rush like this one, specially after how freaking tough Sigma could get in his final form.
This is seriously lazy coming from the developers.
And if you collect every heart tank, energy tank, and armor then you can get the overpowered hadouken that can insta-kill everything if you have full health.
Just wanted to let you know that you just saved my day here, thanks
